Does anyone have any knowledge of cards that appear to have correct print on one side only and what looks like etched reverse?

I believe this is a Leximo special. A collector had access to Topps sheets, many in various phases of production, and had sheets cut up, to sell players individually. I don’t believe these were ever in packs, but merely a card without the final production process.

A niche card, nothing more.

I do believe these were from sheets. Although I never cut up these sheets, I do have a slug of singles around somewhere. More of a novelty item for the player collectors.
