My son and I have bought a couple of Bowman Draft blasters and we are confused. I am looking at refractors that are not #'d. Are they refractors or just some junk they throw in blasters. We did get a Henry Ramos Blue Refractor /199 in there too. What gives? If someone has the time, will you explain refractors. Like does abscense of a serial number mean it is all but worthless? Also, the autos on all these cards are not the autos that count right? Does it need to be blue ink and say topps certified? I am looking at a Chevez Clarke that is on card in blue with Topps Certified under it. Good right?

TLDR; can someone explain 2010 Bowman Refractors? Thanks

Refractors in Bowman Draft are usually not serial-numbered. They're still parallels, and are worth something depending on the player. Who'd you get?

Most of the cards have facsimile autos on them. The Clarke auto sounds like a retail-exclusive auto. Nice pull- share a scan!

The clarke is a real auto, the others unless they are on stickers or say "certified blah blah blah" on them are not.

There are many different refractor variations and they vary from year to year and product to product. However, draft should go like this:

base
refractor (no #)
Purple refractor (no #, retail only)
Blue refractor /199
Gold refractor /50
Orange refractor /25
Red refractor /5
Superfractor /1

There are also auto'ed variations of the above for many prospects and printing plates (4 versions all /1)

My best advice: research by using ebay. If you think you have an auto but are not sure - search ebay with: "2010 bowman draft auto" plus the player's name. Then compare the pictures of the auto'ed card with yours - or take out the word auto and search/compare again. It is also a good way to see many of the variations by searching for just year, company, and player name... experiment with it and you can learn a lot.
