I received a message on a card that I sold back in February. The message states that they have ever received the item and was wondering if I can reship because they think that I had got it back due to them not doing signature confirmation. Problem is that I never got the package sent back to me and the USPS has not updated the tracking info since the 1st delivery attempt which was March 6th. The package was insured. What action will USPS take? I will call them up first thing in the morning but have so much on my mind, this hasn't helped and hate anticipation.

Had this happen in January USPS took about 48 hours to approve the insurance claim.

Thanks for the reply! Hopefully, this will get situated easily. My luck has been horrific the past 48 hours.

When a delivery attempt is made, the carrier leaves a small pinkish colored notice in the mail box. Many times, someone in the family brings in the mail and the notice doesn't get to good old dad. Sometimes, the notice is in the bottom of the mail box and no one sees it. The package is probably still at the Post Office. Have the buyer go to the PO and check. If the package was returned, it should have been scanned as returned.
