I have been seeing these threads pop up a lot on exquisites, just wondering if it effected other releases as well (i'm sure it did).
this is the auction-

Can’t tell if serious...
For the record, yes it is fake

I wouldn't have made a thread if I was joking. It's a warm up card and I'm really not familiar with how patches from them might have looked or if they were even included.

Someone drew a terrible Jordan rookie card in pencil the other day and made a thread asking if it was real... so pardon the doubt

So this is on ebay now, Do I report the listing to anyone? Is there anything to do when stuff like this goes up for auction so others don't get screwed?

You can try to flag it, but I don't see eBay pulling it down since there's no physical proof that the patch is fake. Obviously no other cards have a patch like that, but that probably won't stand up.

Someone needs 2 shoot these scammers between the eyes
These scammers are no different than those sellers who have lots that say you have a chance to win a high end card if you buy It for $20+. All they do is send you a bunch of useless cards. Yea scammers are getting desperate cause that looks like a total fake. Plus for some reason PSA doesn’t have the picture of the card on the PSA database. They usually scan high value cards.

that fake has been on eBay for a long time, I think over a year.
Absolutely fake. Those cards don't have patches.

For the record, my opinion is that this card is no good.
For the sake of conversation, here are two samples of Lakers logo patches from late '90s warmups
