I’m looking to get a Chromebook for my daughter who is 9. She basically uses it for school, playing Roblox with her friends, and doing school projects/work/etc.
Main thing she wants to have is touchscreen. Not looking to spend more than like 200-300.
Anyone have any suggestions based on what they have already or know one that is good? Thanks in advance for your help!!!

I work at a school and we have this device for K-12

A little more than your price range, but its durable, fast, holds charge for 12+ hours, touchscreen and a stylus. The kids love them

The Chromebooks by HP are some nice quality and easy to use.

I would recommend looking at the ones Dell has on their website. My daughter needed hers for middle school 3 years ago, paid a little more but they are made for school (heavy duty cases, gorilla glass, etc...) worth it to make sure it last for a while. If you are going to have to replace every 2 years or so (due to a lot of usage/abusage) might be worth considering the upgrade hers is still going strong and should last into next year or more for high school. Good luck.

After my post I went on their website and did not see chromebooks anymore. Shame they did a great job on them. Good luck on your search, researching is key though, find something that fits what you want/expect out of it.

Chromebooks are getting harder to find since they were all bought up due to schools being closed. Plus getting things out of china (where they're made) is difficult too.
Do you have an older laptop lying around that no one uses with windows 7,8,10 and at least 2gb of RAM? If so, think about converting it to a chromebook clone with Neverware software. It's free and takes about an hour to convert it. Instructions are on their website. I'm not sure is an older touchscreen will work with the Neverware as there would have to be built in drivers for the touchscreen to work and Im not sure if those are included in the conversion software.

Unfortunately not. My wife and I both have laptops issued by our work and my son has his own PC. My daughter has been using my son’s old chromebook but the touchscreen doesn’t work anymore and we’ve been having performance issues with it which is why we were looking into a new one. We’ve had this one for 4 years now (it’s an HP) and we have been happy with it, but need an upgrade for her now.
