Is anyone here busting any next week? I'm doing 2 cases. I'm just excited for the first real hockey product of the year!

I'm considering 1-2 cases, but waiting on pricing info first.

I am getting a case of this when Blowout gets it in. I know what you're saying about Ultra being the first real set of the year, but Victory should not be ignored. It was quite the money maker. Collation was nearly perfect. It might even be a money maker now at $480/case if you get a good black card. (I got Steen.)

I have a case coming. I renogtiated a lease for the local card dealer, and this is part of my payment. Sweet, eh?
With all the inserts Fleer Ultra should be a real winner.

I agree...it's cheaper than last year AND it has all of the Flair Showcase inserts as well. This may not seem like a big deal, but I'd rather have the Showcase inserts in my packs than Ultra base cards.

I'm pre-selling team sets, not going well so far, may not do as well on those as in 2005-06, but still, its a fun break and should be good. I'm tempted to drop my sets to $2 each and let them fly, but I can sell these all winter.

I'm getting my case on release date, would you do 1, 3 or 7 days on the inserts and rookies?

Depends on how much you are looking to get for them. If you do 3 day, most of them will get bids and sell, but if you do 24 hour, some may not sell and the others may sell a little higher than they should.

One of the insert sets is already on eBay via presells. You may see some in-hand auctions starting tonight. I know a guy who already got his in, but his prices are too high.
I'd do three-day auctions on tough pulls, one-day auctions on easy pulls and seven-day auctions on the toughest pulls.

what is the deal on the black ice cards, one per case? last year they were more common I think, but still sold well. I agree, Victory could be a money maker here, picked up a few packs (5 @.99) the other night and actually doubled my money. Crosby insert and a decent RC. I am looking hard a case, cause you can't beat the price that is for sure.........

I sold out of mine, although some extra singles are on Sportlots now. The pack odds do not match my results. I got one black base and no black rookies in my case. My third master set (351) only sold for $65, though, so maybe expectations should be tempered.
Note that the six-card EA NHL08 insert set seems to have SPs. I got like 17 of 1-4 but only three of 5 and 6.
