You do not have to worry about the duplicate thread rules for the next 2 days.
Any thread you have in the OTHER SPORTS section may be recreated in the new sections - no worries.
Once you create the new thread, let your old thread die - do not bump the old thread. Do not make a post in the old thread with a link to the new thread. Let the old thread die.
