Hi all, hoping for some insight. I have this Fox Prizm Silver PSA 10 and I am in the process of thinning my collection considerably. I was going to list this on EBAY but as I looked it over, I noticed a small surface defect on the card below his hand. This is fairly noticeable, or maybe it is just to me. So I want to be as fair as possible when listing. Would you guys consider a deduction in value from recent comps (say like 15%) to be fair? I will definitely point the defect out in the description but it seems like those are hardly read anymore. I know PSA deemed it a 10, but I personally buy the card and not the grade so as a buyer would probably pass on this at 10 prices. Just looking for opinions on what you guys would be a fair price. Thank you in advance for any input you may be able to provide.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200728/6511bef652a307ed610f138a04d7e788.jpg

are you certain the mark is on the card and not the case?

To be honest the majority of collectors could care less IMO. Most people buy PSA 10's to have a PSA 10 and don't know much about cards. I have seen worse defects on PSA 10's before...

Yes, I havexamined it at every possible angle and it seems that is the case.

I like the honesty.. but PSA 10's can have minor defects too. I do the same though and try to disclose any issues. Sometimes I will even put the picture of the defect first and make it the main photo.

Consigners will almost never mention these. I feel any discount you give the buyer (aka flipper) will just relist this later as a perfect card, PSA 10! I would sell it as normal with everything disclosed, multiple pics, market value obo.

Sell it as a PSA 10. If the hobby values the integrity of a third party grader (which we know it does) then it’s not up to you do point to a PSA 7 that you think should be a 9 or a PSA 10 that you think should be an 8. I only see an obligation to disclose condition issues on raw cards, and even that isn’t a one size fits all approach.

Can the card move in the case at all? If you can move the card you’ll be able to tell if it’s the case or card. I got a card in that I thought for sure had a surface issue but it was the case.

Shake it.

My suggestion would be to list it at the price your normally would with "Read" in the title and the details you provided in the description. Field offers and sell to who you are comfortable with.

I always say "Condition as pictured."

Funny how a flawed card can still grade better than perfect because PSA gets to charge you more that way. Real funny.

We can argue that cards are in a bubble, but I don't think there's any debate that 10s are a bubble.

not uncommon for psa 10 to have defects
a psa 10 grade is what they are buying. i don't think you need to give a discount. just make sure the photos are clear when you are selling it.

Gem Mint is not Pristine. Gem Mint cards can have minor defects.

Your honesty should get you some great karma but anyone buying a PSA 10 Fox Silver right now is buying it because its a PSA 10 Silver

straight from the source:

GEM-MT 10
Gem Mint

A PSA Gem Mint 10 card is a virtually perfect card.

Attributes include four perfectly sharp corners, sharp focus and full original gloss. A PSA Gem Mint 10 card must be free of staining of any kind, but an allowance may be made for a slight printing imperfection, if it doesn't impair the overall appeal of the card. The image must be centered on the card within a tolerance not to exceed approximately 55/45 to 60/40 percent on the front, and 75/25 percent on the reverse.
