Well I knew it'd come eventually. Sold A Deandre Ayton 3 card lot- the Prizm has a top edge cutting issue that I made him aware of and he was fine with.. but I didn't see any visible issues with the Select.
Only thing I can think of when he says weird coating is the moisture that Select cards from last year get which wipes off. Not even gonna fight the guy about it even though I have no returns listed. Already added him to the block list.
Oh yeah I also threw in like 4-5 Chronicles Ayton rookies that I'm curious if I'll get back

I literally went thru 15 years of this crap.
Which is why I only sell my cards in slabs.

Lol... These guys expect 10s when buying raw cards. The same thing happened to me with a JJJ optic lot. Just accept the return and block him.

Yeah I tried to be as nice as I could in my reply but I did tell him good luck if he's buying raw cards to grade on Ebay.

Only thing to reply with is. "If you are not happy return for full refund." Many times you say this they either reveal their true colors and demand a partial refund which makes any neg they leave removable or they just slink away.

Buyers are getting more and more picky about the cases and even the condition of the card. If there is a tiny scratch on a case you need to mention it or you will possibly get a return. Its not just Ebay have 2 returns for slabbed cards on Mercari that the buyers said there was a scratch on the case. One of them I mentioned the scratch and photographed it.

Buyers will claim “scratches on the case” and EBay allows the return.

Same thing happens on Mercari could even happen here. Anytime you end up with Paypal or a CC involved it can happen

So ridiculous, pretty so we will have to get the cases grades, then get the cases they put the cases in graded.
Maybe even a "shipping box had rough edges" return

I once had a buyer throw a fit because the label on the mailer was crooked. Have seen on Facebook and such people throw fits over sellers using used toploaders/card savers instead of brand new ones.

This....had someone message me a few weeks ago about a JJJ optic pink hyper I sold for like $26 or something a while back. “Card has a pretty nasty print line that wasn’t able to be seen in listing photo” or something along those lines. Politely relied that all pink hypers have the vertical and horizontal print lines, it’s part of the card. However, if you’re not happy with your purchase, just return for full refund.
Never heard back from them...

I had a guy hit a bunch of BIN's last week on raw Court Kings acetate cards (condition sensitive) and then he sent messages asking about the condition and wanting several up close photos. He then stated that they "are for my personal collection and I need them to be flawless or I don't want them".
I asked him why he didn't ask these questions prior to hitting the BIN and told him that the cards are raw and if he needed "flawless" cards he needed to buy PSA 10's. Cancelled order and blocked. I was just glad he outed himself as a douche before I sent them out.

several threads on here discussing this....
-case is scractched / damaged
-even though psa graded this a 10, i do not think it is a 10
-there is moisture in the case
-what is this weird spot inside the case
on and on....

Actually, you, me and everyone expects not to get hoodwinked into getting a 7 or 8. Buyers buy from ebay with the business estimate of hopefully getting a 9. If the seller takes that one perfect photo that completely hides the finger dent on a foil card, thus making it really a 7 or 8, that's playing games, and you can expect a return.
Don't we all buy and sell?

The part has not been true in my past experience. Has eBay finally fixed that for sellers?

I can even recall an instance where someone complained about "undisclosed lint" within the slab.

This is why I would never sell "popular" cards on eBay. It's better to try to sell them a hair cheaper here or take the time to build an instagram to sell there. None of these phony ass returns. I'd be especially afraid selling a "hyped" player like Zion or even TJ Warren, rut roe 2 bad games and you're getting a return due to eBays 30 day policy.

Don't we all buy and sell?I always list items that are raw as very good condition regardless if I feel they would get a 9 or 10. I do list any major flaws on card and try to be as transparent as possible. I will not go through every single card as if I were to grade them. I have a bunch of RC lots I list but I'm not selling a graded card. Like the OP said, if you want a card in a certain grade, then buy that card graded.

What part? In this case the buyer has not opened a claim he just sent a message and is fishing.. Its in the abusive buyer policy that buyers cannot ask for partial refunds. I have had 2 negs removed due to buyers demanding partials instead of returning the item.

Never use those Ebay provided conditions like very good. They leave a lot of grey area. I list raw items at near mint that technically covers everything down to a 7. Any major flaws of course are noted.

Nothing is safe on eBay. They can say the slab had a crack or scratch and boom money back - for those without morals, it's risk free investing.
