Okay I try to be the seller I want to deal with on E-bay. I try not to give any pressure to pay and it usually happens. I've only had to send one NPB before. On my auctions I realize it doesn't state how much time the buyer has to pay or contact me blabla I think we all know the drill. But now I have 3 people that I have contacted twice now to remind them to pay or contact me saying they are paying. One of these buyers has like more than 5000 feedback. It has been 8 days now. How long am I supposed to wait before I be the A-hole and file NPB? Do you guys think that the messages I send them from e-bay go straight to their spam folder or what?

There is nothing wrong with filing an NPB once you are eligible to do so. They receive no penalty to their account until you close the dispute and give them a strike.

Even if the messages sent to their e-mail went straight to spam, they would show as Unread Messages once those people signed on to Ebay. 8 days? That's stretching it. If I'm even close to a week in paying, the seller and I will have been trading e-mails in advance and I'd only be waiting on payday.
E-mail the person and TELL them what your terms are. I'd say by FRI, or you are filing a NPB. Time is money and some people do not realize that. In the future though, put a blurb in your auctions on what you expect for payment time. Good luck.

Why wait on filing NPB? If they get offended then you probably don't want to do more business with them anyway. You have to wait a week to close the NPB anyway so that gives the buyer 2 weeks to pay. If they haven't paid by then, then they probably aren't going to pay. Just my .02.

I state in my auctions payment is due within 5 days. I send a reminder on day 6 and if they dont at least email me, I file the NPB on day 8. As stated they then have another week to pay so you are giving them 2 weeks. If they cant get it together by then I give them a strike and relist. Some of the people with a lot of feedback are the worst. I think they feel you wont do anything because of their feedback. Galasports bought a $300 car off me last year. I waited and waited and nothing. I email him and he says he is waiting for money to be put into his Paypal account and not to worry as he has like 30,000 feedback. I told him I wasnt worried but payment was past due and I would relist the card if he didnt take care of it. Payment was made that day. I could care less who they are. I get tired of the games people play. I treat everyone the same so dont feel bad or keep waiting. If they dont have the courtesy to communicate then you should file the NPB.

Everyone finally responded except for one, ironic it's the one with the most feedback. Filed NBP today. Thanks again to the board!

So people don't treat your auction like the layaway at Walmart, you should add a blurb at the end of the auction description as to when you expect payment. 7-10 days is normal. You do have to wait 7 days to file NPB report and another 7 to receive fee credit...so yes, time is $ whether it is a 0 FB stiff or someone in the 1000's.
