Topps Cancelled my Five Star Order

Anyone else have an order arbitrarily cancelled by Topps (not Finest or Baller related, that's a whole other thread)? I ordered 4 boxes of the 2020 Five Star off Topps website with overnight shipping over a week ago and as of yesterday the product still hasn't shipped (but I see Five Star all over ebay, at my LCS, etc). So I contacted Topps last night to see what was up, and just got a refund notice from PayPal a moment ago, still no email from Topps, but when I check on the order on the Topps site it says closed and there's a refund tab.

No explanation, just closed the order and refunded my money, if I didn't pay with PayPal I still wouldn't know what's going on.

What is going on at Topps, it seems they're going out of their way to upset customers? I half expect all of my Project 2020 orders to get cancelled too because a few Topps employees are known for being spiteful. I guess I have a few extra bucks to buy something else.

Just buy the singles you're after. Opening Five Star this year has been very dismal and 96% of boxes will not be worth the cost of the box.

It just rubbed me the wrong way Topps cancelling without notice for what seems like asking a question about where’s my stuff. It probably worked out ok since I can buy something else, but I was excited to rip a few boxes.

This just solidified my thoughts about pulling back on all card purchases, just too many companies that don’t care (Topps, PSA), too many scammers selling fakes and trimmed cards, and others hiding flaws or outright lying about their listings... it’s just too much.

They cancelled mine too, I found out the same way via PayPal refund. 3 boxes with overnight shipping. Now if only they could have cancelled most of my P2020 orders that way too ...

I doubt the cancelled because you asked, when you asked they probably looked into it and realized they couldn’t fulfill it for whatever reason.

I have emailed Topps with issues two or three times in my collecting (the last time was in 2012). They have never replied to an email I have sent them. That is one reason I'm really happy I no longer collect (if I do I buy singles, but haven't done that in years). I don't want to give them my money if they don't want to resolve my issues with their products. But I sure do miss the fun of busting products!
