What's up guys,
I don't like posting threads like this, but I feel it may be neccesary. About 5 months ago, I opened a box of 2010-11 Panini Certified Hockey, beat the odds and pulled a Shirt off my Back dual auto with Ray Bourque and Zdeno Chara. It was, of course a redemption. I redeemed it, thinking nothing of how long it might take, or how painful the next couple of months might be.
About 1 1/2 months ago, I emailed Panini, politely asking them when I should be excpecting the card to come in. They didn't respond, and I figured that meant they had sent it, and I was to be excpecting it soon.
2 weeks went by, and I checked my account and saw the card still hadn't been shipped. And again I contacted Panini, and again, no response.
And this has been the entire case for the past 4 weeks. Every 3-5 days, I have sent a message to Panini asking them, and each one, as you may excpect, was a little harsher than the former.
I am a little upset Panini hasn't sent the card, but I am royally pissed they don't even have the balls to respond to my e-mails. I have called them only once and left a message briefing my situation, and was shut out there as well. I have been a loyal customer for Panini/Donruss for years, and have redeemed many cards with no troubles. Has anybody else experienced the same problem?
I am posting this thread not to express my anger towards Panini, but to explain my situation and ask if anybody has any suggestions as to what I could do?
Thanks for taking the time to read this,
Geoff

Great to know. I had emailed them many times before this, and they had always responded. Hopefully they respond to my most recent email. Thanks for the info, btw.

Yeah i wasnt getting a response from Panini in regards to an issue I had with them as well. I was kinda surprised since their customer service is usually top notch

It's not neccesarily a hassle if they have the card made (which you never know), it's only when the card isn't made, and panini can't find the courage to tell us, the paying customers. I hope Panini get's into a $ hitload of trouble for their horrible redemption program.

their program is still better than upper deck though...they've been doing a bunch of redemptions since the move, got 3 in the mail recently, and e-mails telling me some more are coming...
my question to you is this, its a redemption so when you redeemed it, what time frame did you put on it...4 months or 8 months...
is the card you redeemed the card you want, or are you asking for a replacement?
the differences being, if you put 8 months, then you have 8 months before asking about anything. If you put 4 months, then when you started e-mailing 1 1/2 months ago, it was too early. and then they were busy with their move.
If you are wanting the actual, card, you may be waiting longer, who knows how long...
If you are asking for a replacement, you will still be waiting a while as I believe they do their replacements by sport
also, by assuming that they sent it because they did not respond to your e-mail is a horrible assumption, that doesn't work in any situation (business or personal), whenever they send out your redemption, you get a status change on your account first

Oh my...is upper deck standards what we go by when determining how good or bad anyone else is?
I'm not sure saying someone is better than upper deck means very much.
I used to hear how Panini's CS was the best in the industry. I do believe they were near the top. It appears it didn't take very long for them to fall.
Hopefully this will all get cleared up very soon for you. That sounds like a nice card. I hope you get it soon.

My guess is if they place a redemption in a pack and that person never gets the card or its never made is constituted as fraud???

I would agree...upper deck CS is horrible, but the only thing you can compare to is UD or topps...kinda like being the tallest (and I'll be pc here) little person in the room...
I've actually done well with both UD and Panini...would rate panini better, although I chalk up their recent troubles in getting redemptions out to their move.

at least panini takes care of you on expired redemptions... One reason why I purchase their older product, and not topps...

I haven't gotten any responses from Panini in almost 2 months now and I send weekly emails. I've given up on them. I'll be buying Ultimate Hockey when it comes out.
There CS still beats Topps & UD by a mile..

I understand that now. I have been checking daily to see if my card has been shipped yet. It was a terrible assumption, and extremely premature.
I did select the 4 month time period, and I do really want the card I redeemed for. I doubt there are many cards Panini can send that are worth more than the Chara/Bourque.

My thoughts exactly. You'd think that it would be like ebay. If you buy something, and you never recieve it, not only can you get into trouble on the website, but there can be legal precautions taken as well.
With thousands of people complaining about redemptions, I hope the law starts to investigate.

UD redemption team is superior to topps and panini.

LOL! Don't hold your breath on that. It'd be great, tho, because then I'd be after the former owners of Fleer and Scoreboard, Topps and UD for either replacing my cards with inferior ones or going out of business and not sending them at all.

What's up guys. I was wondering if anybody else has tried call panini in the past 3 days. I try 5-10 times a day, and not once have I receieved an answer. Just some crappy answering machine. I get that they are moving, but you'd think they'd have someone available.
And if you are wondering, I have left a message every time, and they have not once called me back.

It does really suck. It's sad that they can't even answer one of my 30 phone calls. Man up, tracy hackler.

Hackler is promotion weasel, not customer service. I have a feeling their customer service team was wiped out by the earthquake and Tsunami in Japan.
Here's a photo of a Panini Customer Service Employee being nursed back to health after the tragedy of the Move/Earthquake/Tsunami

I wanted to blame it on someone specific, and hackler's the only one that came to mind.
Poor customer service :D For some reason, I feel so sympathy for him:)!

Yep same here. They leave you on hold for 5 minutes then they say they will call you back within 24 hours. Lie Lie Lie
