What will be Robert’s version of Acuna’s “Bat Down” card?

Opening Day SP was the SP in the set just before (a la Bat Down Acuna), but since it’s the same image, I’m not sure it will have the same effect.

The fact that the Opening Day SP is not gemming makes me think that it’ll retain a high value though.

I’m thinking Opening Day > Sungalsses > Chrome SP 🤷🏻#@♂️

As far as SSP: Series 2 running > Chrome signing autographs.

How is the 2017 Judge doing in comparison?

Last (only?) time I recall any Opening Day SSP RC. Usually the photo variations are very tough pulls of established stars, like the 2016 Ichiro.

In 2018, most of the Opening Day RC are image variations compared to Series 1 but are not short printed.


The 2020 Luis Robert is different yet again and a special case.

2017 Alex Bregman - $70

The above cards are TOUGH pulls (only one or two completed listings for each)... It appears 2020 is more saturated and not nearly as rare.

For Bregman... the opening day Gem image variation is running about equal to a raw SSP (series 1) in price (or 50% of gem SSP)
