Good Afternoon, A BGS 10 (Gold Label) will have 3 (10) subgrades and 1 (10) subgrade, and a Black Label has all four subgrades.

A PSA 10 (for some reason) is generally the most desired third party grade.

I hope that a PSA 10 does not "hold more value" than a BGS 10 whether it be a gold label or a black. Just a little reminder, a PSA 10 can be given to a card with 60-40 centering.

On top of all that how and why PSA 10's are outselling BGS 9.5's is crazy.

PSA 10's = some BGS 9.5's, some BGS 10's and some BGS Black Labels.

But nobody buys PSA 10's based on "9.5" or "10" corners or edges. As long as it says PSA 10 thats all anyone cares about.

To my knowledge there is a big difference. I have cards where i have sent in myself and got back the grades at 8,9s. Whereas i cracked them out and sent them again to some big PSA submitter and services it came back a grade or two higher. (in one instances, i had a psa 7 that came back a 10)

It's only rare because an obese guy who lives with his mom in Florida (Robert Block) only had to make one (or maybe two) of them to buy his Mustang with cash. There would probably be four if he had to pay a mortgage too. ;)

I have graded over 2,000 cards. I have never gotten a Black Label on accident. All 8 or 9 I ever received were absolutely perfect under magnification. I got a couple Pristine surprises but they were few and far between, and certainly never were a card that I thought was borderline Gem. PSA is very strict on corners which I think has made their 10 demand a premium over the BGS 9.5. They are definitely more lenient on centering but the prospective buyer can tell easily if the centering is not dead on, and you will see that reflected in closed sales.

I would like to ask, do you a "former professional card grader" can get the grades listed below... by submitting only cards that he/she deems will garner a high grade.

The cards were submitted by someone known to have altered many cards (likely several if not all from that submission), so it's not really a fair question to compare these fraudulent grades with other people that might be great at evaluating condition and also getting similar results (legitimately).

I'm going to say that it's very unlikely, to replicate these results in a "above board situation".

I'm pretty sure that Robert Block was the fabricator of both Sidney Crosby RC Black Labels.
