I finally got a PSA club membership after 20 years. I've bought a few hundred graded PSA cards from some favorite sets I have liked over that time. For baseball it's 1975 Topps. I'll be uploading quite a few certs this week. I know there are some heavy registry members here.
What sets are you collecting, have finished or hope to start?

I have a few of the camo ones. I remember Evan Gattis Auto but not sure of anyone else. I might have a red Pujols and Votto /5 also.

Working on Topps Living Set. I have 144, I think that’s the count, PSA 10s. I only need about 200 more to be current.😂

With the rise in prices of unopened, it makes sense to focus on a few players, teams and sets. It's great to see something as old as T206's to something as new as Topps Living.

I just joined the set registry. At the moment I only added two baseball sets;
1998 Upper Deck Retro Sign of the Times Auto set
1999 Skybox Premium Soul of the Game
I’m the only person to add the ‘Soul set and the second entry for the ‘Sign set. It’s been fun for me. I’ve actually upgraded each set twice already.

Glad this thread wasn’t created. I had the thought to do the same just a few days ago. I know PSA gets a lot of hate due to their business practices and trimming scandal but the set registry was a homer run and the reason I pretty much only sub to PSA now.
I do wish they had other sets. I like multi-year “sets” that are linked by a common theme - like hall of famers, etc. I’m also a big refractor fan, but find that refractor sets seem to be lacking or concentrated around true sets (i.e., by year). Would love to see an HOF themed refractor rookie set for the players that have them (across all sports).

I'm working on the 1952 Topps HOF Set. Haven't registered it yet but I'm about 75% of the way there. I've got the big guys but spending thousands of dollars on SPs of lower level HOF hurts badly enough, I don't think I could be a true set collector dropping (relatively) big money on players I've never heard of for the sake of finishing the set.

That’s fantastic! I loved him growing up.
On a different note. I need a favor from anyone that is part of the registry. Can someone please make a comment on one of my sets and also a comment on my ‘showcase’ cards. I think I get 75 points if I get both comments. I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks
I listed my sets above.

Do you have a link to these sets? I'm having a hard time navigating through PSA right now, new user of the registry.

I have a 1975 Topps set, still hanging in at #40 on the current finest list. I haven't touched it in a decade or so, but there are probably sufficient pops for 9s to maybe invest a little. I'd like to get it up to 8.25, but that might be a stretch. Plus, I think I'd rather sell it and let someone else build it up, and make a nice raw set.
I also have a 1971 Greatest Moments set that's 4 cards short, all SPs. I've lowered my standards from 7 to 6 on those, but they hardly ever show up, so I might have to go with 5s just to finish it.
I'm most proud of my Bake McBride set, though. I petitioned to get it added, and have held the #1 position since then. I should add more cards so I can get registry awards, unless someone snakes it from me.

I sent in a few 1975 Topps and will eventually build that set up. I have been looking for a raw George Brett to grade and people buy raw PSA 4 versions for $100... I did buy 9 raw Yount's that I sent to PSA. One of them I think will get a PSA 8 easy. Something about collecting that 1975 Topps all graded interests me.

I have a few sets listed.
My Mickey Mantle base set is ranked #74. I'm missing 1951 Bowman, 1952 Topps and 1959 Topps. Plus I just sold my 1956 & 1961 Mantle both PSA 4. Looking right now to replace them with better looking/higher graded cards.
I'm also collecting 1953 Topps. I have about 80 cards given to me by my dad and uncle that are a total mess. I'll never sell them though because they were actually bought them in 1953 and they're in rough shape because they played with them, so they're not replaceable. Then I've been buying PSA 8s to fill in cards I'm missing. Not sure if it's worth it to get the raw cards graded. Most would come back PSA 1-3. I might just so they're protected and so i can add them to the registry.
Also have the complete 1957 set. I've only graded some of the more valuable cards so far. And I'm waiting to get back another 20 that are sitting at PSA now. Thinking about submitting the whole set at some point.

You guys all have nice sets and it's good to hear some of the reasons you collect them. I've always thought of the benefit of getting a registry set graded and considering the value that many have been pushed to, it finally made sense for insurance purposes. Feel free to share more and post links if you have them!

I've been the one to have PSA create all the sets for 2013 Topps Chrome and Refractor Parallels.
Here is just an example of one of my sets currently.

Here’s my only one although I don’t know a ton about the registry overall (e.g. how they’re created). Most likely won’t get any further on this one due to all the autos included (3 separate Dynasty Auto/Patches:doh:).
