Recently picked up this nice Guy Lafleur buyback autograph and I am having a hard time finding the print run or specific details about it in Beckett. Any help would be appreciated. THANKS! Pics show both the card and authentification from Upper Deck.

Sign Of the Times are tough to figure out a print run, especially the older you go. Plus, I'm sure it varies depending on the player.

Sweet card though! Loved that SOTT set from 2003-04.

So if I remember this correctly these were inserted into packs back a couple of years (SP Authentic maybe). They did "buybacks" of autos and rookies, I remember pulling a Brooks Orpik buyback RC but there was no numbering or stickers on any of them. Basically you got the card, but no way to say it actually was a buyback. So it is worth what the original was, because that is all they are.

There was a lot of speculation back then that UD did not actually buy anything back, these were just stock they had and wanted to dump. If they had at least put a hologram or anything on them it would have been better, but nope nothing. So you won't find any numbers on these, I had thought for a while they might be 1/1's but alas I did come across another Orpik RC so that went out the window.

All that said, nice card of Lafleur!

Is there any way to get more info by using the ud authentication number on the hologram?

I seem to remember trying to do that once before, but did not have any luck. Now that was many years ago so they might have something better now.
