I always got a kick of his SN because everyone basically mocked it lol. Especially since it seemed like he didn't have a clue about anything. A lot of his questions were "what should I buy at Wal Mart to flip" type questions

And he started 5 threads a day to ask questions that could be answered with the most minimal amount of research.

I very lazily searched for his username before i posted this but couldn’t find it.

Story gets better, the guy who won the auction sent him a note and told him off, hustle came back and apologized and said the card was sold previously and it must have “relisted automatically.” [emoji23]

The last part where he said give me the card for free was pretty bad...in my book he was ok up to that if what he was meaning was sell me the card for half of the BIN price as that would still be more than double the price he won at in the initial auction.

I've always enjoyed buying and selling cards, but never did it heavily prior to this year. I did a ton of buying and selling vintage clothing and now that has been overrun with the same type of supreme wearing guys, iHustleHards..

One of the key similarities is these guys entering the market looking to make a quick buck while thinking their business practice is sustainable over the long term. They try to juice every dollar they can out of an item while sacrificing not only good business practice, but just being a decent human being.

You will have more longstanding success taking less on a card, or any item for that instance, and getting it to a buyer who wants it. When you start cancelling winning bids, selling cards to someone then taking it back because someone bid $10 higher, sure you might be getting more money now, but you won't in the long haul. I'll take a 15% return vs 30% -- the sale will be quick, the transaction will be flawless, and you build relationship. Everyone is always so worried about another flipper getting one over on them and making money off them. You made money, they can make money, everyone wins.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve sold something for way less than I thought it should be by running an auction especially lots. But to be honest by losing $ selling lots I found that buying lots can be a great strategy! Sometimes you lose a bit, but it’s always better to just suck it up and move on then try to pull this stuff.
