I haven’t followed baseball prospects in a few years now but MAN was I pissed when the Sox passed on the Jackie Robinson West kid for Crochet (less pissed now obviously). Not a Cubs fan but a Chicago kid on a Chicago team is a big deal.
Are people psyched on his cards? He’s a 4 years away type guy yeah? As an incurable homer I’m kind of thinking about picking something up but this is very much not my lane these days

He's definitely no secret for the product haha seems to be the most popular high schooler people are chasing along with Jordan Walker, even more so than Hassell.

Everything I've read about him just glows, seems like an awesome local story to root for. Like most HSers, seems like his hit tool will be where his career ends up taking him but I really like his athletic profile as a base.

he's doing signings already. I have some of his stuff from the under armor game. He will probably be the most hyped cubs prospect since Bryant.

Idk man. I’m not gonna call anyone any names nor make judgements, but I wouldn’t trade this for all 131 listings of panini cards you have on fee-bay combined. (I do like Milan Tolentino though, maybe one day he will have a thread too)

cub fans are selling off the 2016 core, fans won't be in wrigley until likely after bryant, rizzo and others are dealt, the farm system sucks and this kid has a great local story. they need hope and hee seop choi, ty griffin, earl cunningham, felix pie, correy patterson, brooks kieshnick, gary scott and others got mega love for years while fans savored over the next great banks face of the franchise.

They are much more enjoyable than “Is this a bubble?” threads. Player threads are mostly filled actual collectors who enjoy talking about baseball players, baseball cards, and baseball in general.
