Well yes Charley Pride was a titan of country music(30+ number one country songs and the fact that he’s sandwiched between Waylon Jennings and Merle Haggard as part of the Possum Eating Cowboys in the greatest country song ever written should tell you all you need to know).

But he was also a Negro and minor league ballplayer and part owner of the Texas Rangers.
