Stolen Card Quicksell - Marvel, Star Trek, Star Wars

My wife and I found out this morning her card number was somehow hacked and our account was emptied. We only had about $300 in it to finish Christmas and to drive to Iowa but with the other charges still coming in our account is currently -$621. The bank has cancelled her card and closed the account but they unfortunately cant stop whatever was already processed or waiting authorization, so it will likely go higher. We need to get the account back to even so we dont get a $30 overdraft charge everyday so I need to sell whatever I can to get that at least even and they estimated it to be between $350-400. So here are a few things to get started and I will take offers on everything else I have listed on here in the other sections which are Marvel, Star Trek, Pop Century, WWE, etc. Everything is just a comparable price to recent sale prices and dlvd. Please PM and thanks in advance. AND, if anyone lives in Greenwood, IN the Papa Johns there is the first fraudulent charge to pop up followed by HULU, Netflix, Apple, Grammerly, and Amazon. And yes the bank is already trying to get the forwarding addresses for those orders, so hopefully we will find out who did this.

I was just in Greenwood yesterday. That charge seems odd, as usually these cards are stolen by people overseas, so the online charges make sense. Maybe they were just testing the card and ordered a pizza from a random place?

If they are actually in Greenwood, that seems easy to track, but also unlikely.

I have had my credit card stolen but all the charges were reversed and I wasn't held liable for any of them. You may want to look into using Chase for your bank/debit card, as they have fraud protection. Also, it's better to use a credit card online if you can, rather than a debit card.

We use a local bank and they said we have to wait for the "hard charge" to hit the bank, not just the authorizations. They said the businesses then have to be contacted to do reverse charges. The bank said if they are all reversed once we get all the info we could have the money returned in about 3 weeks if we are very lucky. We were also wondering why they would order food from a Papa Johns in Indiana. There are a couple more charges that just came in from BUild a Bear and another Grammerly. These should be easy to stop once we get the order info but still take weeks to get any reversal of funds. I had my card skimmed once from a ATM and had about $500 taken and PayPal was on it and I had all my money back within 24 hours and the Omaha, NE police had a pic and warrant on the guy in a day.

I had a similar issues a few years back.
My local Arby's had a person that had a credit/debit card skimmer. They stole my info and then took it up to a casino in Minnesota and withdrew $600.
Luckily my bank questioned it since I was using the card in Iowa and Minn at the same time. I was able to get the card replaced and my money back.
Good luck with your sales. Those are some nice cards and at fairly solid prices too IMO.

Man that sucks, people that do things like this deserve a boot to the head. I had someone in Canada try to use my card number last week to buy propane, but my bank caught it immediately and blocked the transactions.

Wife had her wallet stolen while at work and before we could stop it the thief bought 8 VISA pre-pays $75 each at 8 different corner stores. $75 each because that all they could buy with the tap $100 minimum per purchase. Makes you want to reach out a touch someone. Hard.

GLWS - stinks to hear but they legally can't give you NSF fees if your card was stolen. Contact the CFPB if they won't stop/remove them

Thats what happened with my paypal card. The guy went to a couple walmarts, walgreens and gas stations and bought prepaid cards except he F'd up at one and bought a pack of cigarettes and $20 in gas and they got him on camera.

I've already talked to the Papa Johns people from Indiana and they are on it and seeing if it was a delivery and if so which address it went to.

Should be retroactive to when before the first fraudulent charge occured, some people do $0 sum budgets and accounts reflect that

Most big banks give you a one time courtesy reversal on a fee each cycle even if it was your fault. In this case, clearly it wasn't your fault and due to fraud so most banks should reverse them. I'm not sure about your bank since smaller local banks might have different rules. But I do hope you get it worked out. I'm sure you will. Credit cards are pretty good at resolving issues that have nothing to do with you and your wife didn't do anything wrong so she shouldn't have to pay.
