Aside from the front of the cards being the obvious difference, any markings on the back that would indicate a refractor?

The problem is there are so many crappy pictures on eBay sometimes its hard to tell. I figured that would be my answer, thank you for confirming that.

ahh yea.. eBay can be tough. then you have some sellers that know how to make their base appear to be refractors, and then 'play dumb"

Lots of really dumb (or inexperienced/uninformed) sellers these days who list base cards as "Refractor" and "Silver Prizm" when picture clearly shows otherwise. In hand you'll absolutely know the Refractor compared to the base card and in pics there is a noticeable difference in the rainbow shine. I had the complete 93-94 Finest set (well, other than the damn Lee Mayberry which I never found!!!) before breaking it up in the spring. Good luck on your search!

Do the refractors have that "greening" effect that would eventually make it hard to distinguish?

Yeah they can still go green, but they will continue to have the extra reflection of light to compare. When in doubt, ask for more pictures/angles.
