Love his game, and what he brings to the Thunder. But honestly, Im pretty much jaded by the fact that the Thunder have 3 young players as their core in SGA, Bazley, and Dort that already have card prices that have been
artificially manipulated by this current market to the point, that these 3 guys cards are selling for more than KD, Westbrook, and Harden RCs
did at the same point in time in their career, yet none of the 3 have really done anything other than "look promising" or score 20+ points here or there.


Pretty silly if you ask me.


Dort was unsigned out of College, and spent most of last season on a 2 way contract playing in OKC D League. He's a fan favorite, and has a cult following in OKC already in year #2.

Not paranoid. Just curious, as there were 19 Elontusk1000-1019 usernames added within a 24 hour period, utilizing the numbers 1000-1019. So was just welcoming him to the boards. Just like almost all social media posts, and message boards as a whole, I understand that more and more users are now AI bots/algorithms made to look like, and interact like real posters. So, I was just welcoming him to the board.

Hoping he can add some intelligent discussion to the Lu Dort phenomenon.

Nobody is triggered. Dort has already made a name for himself in OKC. I love his game. Great on ball defender that makes the opposing teams best offensive ball handler absolutely miserable. Shooting over 40% from 3 point range, and able to penetrate and attack the rim with a great deal of success as a 2nd year player. Looks like he has a great future, as every single post game, and practice report I watch/listen to Dorts work ethic and overall hustle is always mentioned.

Unfortunately that's what this site has come to. Every time a new person posts, there is always at least one person that accuses them of being a troll/bot/pumper/previously banned member.

Gotcha. I hope his 3pt% can stay above .400 but I don't think it's sustainable, his release is still kinda slow. He did surprise me with his improved handle, I think his ceiling is a bigger, more athletic Pat Bev.

I think people underestimate how good Smart is on D.

Dorts defense will give him longevity and playing time in this league… and if he can develop his game to be well rounded and keep that 3pt % up he could be a really good #3 on a winning team. He would have probably been better off developing in the G league for another year beating up on lesser talent.

I do like the pieces that OKC has in place there if they can add a few more in the next couple offseasons they could be real competitive in a few years.

He was a 2 way player last season, spending most of his time on the OKC D league team, so I think it would be a difficult ask, for him to have already made an appearance on the All-Defensive team. I think you would have to come back in 2023-2024 for Dort to have achieved the 2 straight all defensive team. So, go ahead and book mark this one, and well see you in 2024.

Almost sold all my Contenders base PSA stash , its been fun times last couple of days. Sold a few bangers but still have most of the key pieces to my PC. You guys made me doubt so i sold a couple , on the other end people saying DPOY i taught they were crazy or more passionate about him then i was.

Kind of neither; they're both way overpriced at the moment. As an archetype, it would definitely be Poku - if he makes it, it will be as a big time scorer, while Dort is just going to be a 3 and D player whose upside comp is Danny Green. But Poku cards aren't selling for that much less than SGA 2018 Prizms right now, so I wouldn't touch that stuff until it comes down some.
