Really Nice Redemption Replacement with question - The Great One!

Hi all,
I don't usually do a lot of hockey although I follow I am a fan. I had a redemption that was damaged and needed to be replaced. This was one of the cards I received. I did my research in the normal places for an approximate value, but didn't find what I felt to be real comparable. With my lack of following closely card prices in Hockey, I was hoping for some insight into a value from folks that follow it a lot more closely than myself. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Awesome card! I’m curious what card they replaced. This has to be one of the nicer cards UD has lying around for replacement.

As for value. Probably somewhere in the $750-$1K range. I think it’d be in the higher end of that range of Gretzky and Messier were in Oiler jerseys.

And on card! I actually like it that Gretzky and Messier aren't in Oilers uniforms. It brings better balance to the card.

A few years ago this same card was selling for $450ish raw and about $650 as a BGS 9.5

I actually had a Ben Simmons Signature Kicks Redemptions for 2020 Goodwin Champions. I asked for Gretzky, Tiger and Lebron as Jordan was going to be a 1 for 1 and in his college uniform.

I received the card above, a Lebron jersey card in his Cavs uniform and this card. I was happy, and upper deck was great throughout the process!

Gretzky / Howe / Yzerman sold for about $1800USD a month ago.

Howe > Lemieux
Messier is pretty on par with Yzerman ( might even say Yzerman edges him out in the hobby )

Same trio sold for $1200USD back in early Sept.

The only higher sales of multi SOTTs that I can see are:

- Gretz / Lemieux / Howe / Orr - $4000USD
- Gretz / Lemieux / Howe / Messier - $2100USD

- Gretz / Howe / Orr ( 6 auto, signed twice by both ) - $1800

Its too bad theres no Gordie or Bobby on yours, but its arguably the next best guys!

I would say its much more than $1000, maybe even $1500+. Gretz / Lemieux have really started to jump in prices.

That being said, to the right person, $1500 might be on the low end as well

This is true. It is from the 2014-15 set, and is in great condition due in some part I am sure to being a redemption and not being packed out.

If this helps for comparison about a year ago I bought a 2013 Edmonton Oilers Quad Auto GMSF Gretzky Messier Simpson Fuhr on eBay for $765.90 (including tax and shipping). It is estimated about 22 copies of the card exist. All four players were sticker autos.

I agree, comparing to any card with Howe is not a good comparison for obvious reasons. And I don't put Messier and Yzerman on the same level in terms of collectibility. Yzerman is a tier above Messier with Sakic and Patrick Roy. Also, I wouldn't compare to any card with Bobby Orr either.

Still, it's 3 of the greatest of the 80s/90s era on the same card. I think the best thing about this card is that it is hard signed. I would prefer to see Gretzky and Messier in Edmonton jerseys, but Kings/Rangers isn't the worst option. Most autos with multi-players (particularly multis with Lemieux and Gretzky) use stickers. I think it would price out in the range I previously mentioned with a chance it goes a little higher at auction if you get a couple aggressive bidders.

This is a great card too! I think you did very well with your replacement. I have no idea what a Ben Simmons goes for, but I would much rather have the 2 cards posted in this thread. You did well!

I about fell out of my desk chair seeing that replacement. On card triple with clean sigs. That's nearly mega millions (meaning odds) in the UD replacements world. Congrats and contactless fist bump lol
