Just wondering what kind of premium a bgs 9.5 has over a raw young gun in everyones opinion

Well. I’ve been tracking Ovie for a while. Seems like raw is going for $1100-$1400 now. 9.5s have to be up in the 3.5-4k range since PSA 10s are going for $5700.

A high grade is a multiplier on the base value of the card.

The factors that increase/decrease the multiplier include:
1) How important is the player
2) How important is this card, both for this player and generally speaking
3) What is the proportion of the raw population of this card vs. how many high grade copies there are (including factoring in condition sensitivity issues)


Sometimes, a 9.5 grade simply doubles the value of a card. Sometimes, for some weird reason, someone got a junk card graded and even after a high grade, the card is still worthless. And sometimes, you get a $20 card graded and the high grade version is over 10x the value.
