View Full Version : Can I Switch From First Class To Overseas Shipping After The Item Has Sold?

Hopefully you guys can help me here.
I received a best offer of $30 for an item yesterday. Seemed fair enough, so I accepted. Then the buyer messaged me saying he is having trouble completing payment, and I notice he is located in China. I usually only ship to the US, so my listings are set that way, first class or media mail only (for books).
Since it’s not a high dollar item, I am willing to give it a try. I guess my question is, how do I change it to overseas shipping, when that was not an option in the original listing? Obviously I can’t use first class to China, right?
Thanks!

Just cancel and say you don't ship outside the US. Not worth the hassle.

Am I in danger of getting a neg for that though?

Never fear a neg, but if he is wanting to change the address after he won the item then he is in violation of Ebay rules and the neg should be removed.

Well, technically he didn’t change it, so it’s probably my fault for not checking his address before accepting the Best Offer.
I thought overseas buyers couldn’t purchase items that are listed as US shipping only?

If you don't have the blocks set up right they can. Some will also use a us address to buy then try to force you ship to their international address.
Just cancel and block

He's probably requesting through the Global Shipping Program if you don't ship outside the US. If that's the case, just ship it to Kentucky and its no longer your problem

Thanks guys, I think I’m just gonna cancel. Not worth the time and energy.
