Ebay search history broken?

is it just me? seems everytime i try to search sold/complete listings i get the following

I was searching for 89 UD Griffey’s sold listings and I was getting some weird results.

with the tools like 130point being down earlier this week I assume they're making coding changes. with all the sites like SCI and CardLadder constantly scraping completed sales data, it is bound to happen

I have the same experience but it appears there is a method here; they give you a TON of results below, but they're just not in any kind of order: you can't get to "most recent" anymore and they know that helps them out.

Not sure if that's the evil method to the madness or if it's just coincidence, but given it's ebay I'd lean toward the former. Regardless, it sure makes it a lot harder to find out what the actual market is for a card that's currently for sale and that definitely helps ebay.

yeah, sold listings is definitely broken, but what's weird is that it's card specific for me. Some cards it works fine, and others completely broken.

What's frustrating is that sometimes the main search will return very few results, but then below "Results matching fewer words" will have more of the actual correct results.

Still isn’t working on my end. I’m seeing like 8 results since January for a Luka Prizm PSA 10

I guess we go back to magazine book value!

I ran a search for 1994 finest refractor Gwynn and saw that a BO was recently accepted this evening for $58.

Card initially listed BIN/BO for 69.99.

"2020 topps gavin lux 292 psa 10" yields 3 results for me. One from 4/2 and the other 2 are from January.
"2020 topps gavin lux 292" yields 1,600 results with plenty of recent psa 10.
"2020 topps gavin lux 292 10" yields 715 results with plenty of recent psa 10.
I get similar results with the 89 UD Griffey. It looks like excluding "psa" gives you what you want, albeit with a little more junk to sort through.

Edit: This does not appear to be affecting my saved searches.

Sold Search:

"Topps Eloy" - tons of matches
"Topps Eloy RC" - half a ton of matches
"Topps Eloy RC PSA 10" - 5 matches

The last searched missed these titles:
2019 Topps Chrome ELOY JIMENEZ Purple Refractor Auto RC 105/250 PSA 10 GEM MINT
2019 Topps Chrome Sapphire Eloy Jimenez RC PSA 10 #670

And I don't write search code for a living... but seems that would be a couple of the exact titles that the search would find w/o much trouble.

Seems that the search for active listings is still catching them.

I did some research when I started to see the issue. Guess it has happened on and off since 2015, or at least that was the last date I saw. Extremely irritating when I am trying to price cards at a fair value. It's odd though because I found sometimes it works, but most times it does not. Even if I dumb down the search with very little, it stated 0 items found and then I have to fish through the "related" sold items.

Lotta stuff sold last night for a player I’m watching and I can’t seem to see any of it in sold listings. This adds another layer of research when listing now. I wonder if this will be corrected?

I physically watched 4 separate Akil Baddoo auctions as they ended yesterday and as of early this morning when I went to bed only one had appeared in sold listings.

I've had a bunch of issues with ebay the last 2 days or so. The other day every time I tried to print a label it took 9-10 tries before it would accept payment. And only after I switched from paypal to pending payouts, back to paypal would it work. I've had a ton of time out issues trying to list items(even after clearing cookies on my phone too) and I just got sent a message from a buyer through ebay that was sent to me a few weeks ago.

Not to mention I was one item away from having 3 of my worst selling days in the past couple months all in a row. At about 1/5-1/6th of what I have been doing. Could all be concidence but I doubt it.

Interesting, I also got a note from a seller saying, “this item was sold a month ago.” It was a message I sent a month ago, and he was just getting it today

The message was sent to me 17 days ago and I just got it.

Edit:

Just had a buyer message me saying they cant send me a model number of their machine so I can look up the part they need. Keeps getting flagged a contact information. What the heck? Never had that issue before until today.
