I sold a card in the $100-200 range on eBay in late February and shipped via USPS First Class. I purchased insurance via InsurePost because of the USPS issues at the time.
Sure enough, the item has been permanently stuck since Feb 28 and the buyer requested a refund. So I refunded the buyer and went to make a claim on InsurePost.
All is good, except InsurePost says it needs the buyer to verify the claim before it issues a refund. They gave me a link that I sent to the buyer.
Am I out of luck if the customer doesn't verify the claim?
Given that I've already issued the refund and the buyer said they didn't receive it when they opened the request (and tracking shows it is not delivered), it would be nice if I didn't have to rely on the buyer to fill out an online form for me.
