Well I have a couple cases of this coming in...I got to think the Autograph checklist will be very large, considering there are 2 sketches per case. It'll be fun to see a chromed out version of the cards I used to open so much of. looks like some great new artwork. I wonder if the artists had the same limitations on what they were allowed to draw for this set. some of my favorite sketch cards ever are from those earlier Galaxy sets.

I like the art on these cards but I just don’t see chrome improving them. I see a lot of comments from people who expected new art too.

With MLB going bye-bye I wouldn't be surprised to see that as they shift major focus to their other properties. Expect even MORE Star Wars coming!

One good thing is this might be the catalyst that finally gets them to produce a Star Wars Allen & Ginter set that I've been asking for for years. That formula would be an absolute slam dunk with Star Wars.

This set is further proof that ALL cards deserve to be Chromed and Refracted. These cards are beautiful. The stock that Topps has been using this year for Chrome sets really make the refractors pop.

Well, with taxes and shipping, the overall cost from Topps.com would've been a a lot closer to $115 from BO (that includes taxes and shipping).

Meh [emoji53] I can give an opinion [emoji2371] I buy what appeals to me, not every set.

And I saw some more breaks with better examples of the art and prisms and some look a lot better than others.

Seems the inserts are a real cluster to sort as just the Galaxy logo color is changed from what a few breakers discussed while sorting.

Your calculations were based on 24 pack boxes, but this product is only 18 packs per box, so the print run is closer to 1,240 total cases.

Weird how prices were $100 - $115 at majority of retailers yesterday, and jumped to $140 - $150 overnight at said retailers. This type of jump would be more common on eBay, never as a whole at retailers/LCS.

Thats hot?? A subpar sketch and a /150 atomic refractor? Good luck getting $10 for that sketch. I dunno, just seems kinda ridicolous. You get 2 sketches per case, so you got "lucky". Those two cards are worth maybe $30-$40 total, if you were to get someone to bite on that atomic -- not cracked ice. Good luck.

If people are basing the value of this set on autos and sketches then they are doing it all wrong. This is being driven by set builders and rainbow chasers. Have you seen what the serial numbered refractors are selling at? Base, Refractors and inserts all all flying. Imo this is the best looking set that topps has released in 7-8 years and people have noticed.

Pop culture beat me to it. This is not about autos/sketches. The inserts, parallels, and base and refractor sets are so solid that i could open a case of all common everything and still come out ahead if i bought at current wax pricing. There are a lot of people who aren't getting how strong the numbered parallels are, both in terms of how they look (desirability) and what they are selling for.

If you do hit a nice auto or sketch or the right subject on a parallel, that's just gravy at this point.

Lol! Who’s pumping it? Singles prices took off at release last week. I don’t think that a couple of comments made on a message board 5 days after release are going to change prices either direction. This is happening organically as more people are seeing the cards in hand.

Lol! Who’s pumping it? Singles prices took off at release last week. I don’t think that a couple of comments made on a message board 5 days after release are going to change prices either direction. This is happening organically as more people are seeing the cards in hand.

Don't listen to the pomo comments. That's easily a 50 dollar sketch and a 20 dollar atomic. Maybe 60 and 30.

This is a very strong release with a good auto checklist, gorgeous cards, a nice selection of gorgeous parallels, and the chrome brand.

Also replying to another post, it's not at all unusual for the big 3 to raise prices on a weekend when wax takes off. It's been happening in sports since the pandemic started.

The correction at release was likely based off of the “hit” checklist. Topps has conditioned us over the past 20 years to only look at that by placing emphasis on “2 Hits Per Box” and producing throw-away base sets. This hit on the nostalgia of Galaxy with the popularity of Chrome and , can’t say it too many times, Beautiful base and insert cards. It’s hard to build sets. I opened 4 boxes on release day and was 3 cards short of a base set. This is what is driving the price back up. Supply and demand based off of popularity and not breakers trying to find the 1-5 Ford cards. I’ve said it before that I wish Topps would release 2-3 sets per year without hits. This would have done fine without them and production costs would have been much lower.

First 11 boxes yielded about $40 in autographs. Well, I was saved on the fourth to last pack in the case... HAN SOLO (HARRISON FORD) RED AUTO /5.

NFS at this moment! Super thrilled obviously.

There’s 13 base signers who signed all parallel levels. No need for duplicates when there’s 12 autos per case

Also most sets are flooded with $5 2 second cancel autos. Pre-Disney was the best time to get sets

Just going off the BO site, I assume Master Works are the yearly release with the most bang for the buck? Trying to get a grasp of what would be the most fun / rewarding to open between the 200-300 price points.

Once again you are not understanding how wax works nor the strength of this release. As long as there are possible huge pulls, wax sells and sells high. It's not complicated. This is true of ALL releases, whether it's sports or non-sports.

Furthermore, this release's demand isn't even contingent on huge auto pulls anyway - they are just a bonus. As has been mentioned over and over again, the strength of this release is in the parallels. That, plus potential big hits, plus supply dwindling are the reasons wax is rising and selling strong.

Just going off the BO site, I assume Master Works are the yearly release with the most bang for the buck? Trying to get a grasp of what would be the most fun / rewarding to open between the 200-300 price points.

You're gonna get killed on Masterwork at the price it's currently listed on BO. If you're familiar with Topps Baseball Museum Collection, this has the same config. 4 mini boxes per master box. 5 cards per mini box, so 20 total cards per master.

Of the 4 hits per master box, you get 2 autos (majority of the time it's a lesser name) and 2 relic cards (medallion and stamp cards are most common). Some boxes will have a sketch card. Costume relic cards are very short printed and do well.

You need to hit a big time auto OR a big name sketch artist with the right subject and sweet art. Easier said than done.

Like others on here I have been attempting to get a complete 100 card set of Atomics and that is the only one that has eluded me. Have only seen a listing on ebay of it once. That’s a tough call. Imo given where prices are, you should keep it sealed. This has potential in the likes of F1 2020 chrome.

Now is the time. I've noticed a few people who have Galaxy stuff from some of the grading companies like CSG or CGS, already. Once PSA is caught up, quite possibly by the end of July, the grading game is back on. People have been waiting for lower tier/economical level pricing for 2 years. What's happening in Marvel will be similar to what happens with Star Wars. It's amazing it's taken this long but, I'd guess, the PMGs brought the attention over. Congrats to whoever nabbed the Supers.

I was actually the one who bought the original 4/5 and 3/10 along with another parallel back when the cards first came out. I just liked the look of the card and did not ever think these would blow up the way they did.

don't think any of us did when we bought at release. I have a huge box of base and refractors I need to start making sets of. Really nice cards though, the 1/1 superfractor of that card is going to be sweet.

I believe The Great Curator has the 1/1 superfractor - he showed it in one of his recent videos.
