Next weekend I am setting up at my first show in 20 years. Looking for some suggestions on how ya'll set up your bargain boxes and what type of stuff you put in them. Also was looking for some ideas to differentiate each of them. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. I don't want to overprice stuff but also do not want to just give it all away.

Was thinking something like this.......

.10 cards - Star base cards, cheaper numbered and parallel cards, cheap inserts.

.25 cards - cheaper semi star and older HOF rookies from the junk era, newer topps chrome base star refractors, cheap inserts of good players (pujols etc)

$1 box

$5 box

With the 10 cent and 25 cent cards, I would keep a 50 count, 100 count, 200 count box or such on hand, and the deal is that the person can fill box for one price. In fact, you might not even distinguish the 10 cent and 25 cent cards. Just make them 50 cents for one card or "Fill This Box for $20".

You could also make markings on an 800 count box - the $5 mark, the $10 mark, the $20 mark, or "Fill this box for $100" (or some other number if you choose).

In my experience, if you have 100,000 cards which are 10 cents each, you will have people who will dig for 8 hours to find the perfect 10 cent card. With the box system, you'll have people who will start out with the intention of spending 8 hours filling the perfect $20 box, but after a while, when their pile is only 1/2 inch high, they'll start to get less picky and just start throwing in stuff willy-nilly.

That is an awesome idea!!!! Thanks so much. I will 100% incorporate that.
