View Full Version : PayPal error through eBay checkout

I have tried 3 different platforms and get the same message everywhere. Been going on for a day. “We’re sorry things don’t appear to be working at the moment”.
I can log into my PayPal account just fine through the website and everything works in there. This only happens when trying to checkout through eBay. Have tried troubleshoots found on YouTube and google. Waiting for a response back from PayPal. Would be surprised if it’s locked. I haven’t received an F&F payment for a sale in over a year. And think I only have a few over the course of 10+ years. Anyone have this?

This happened to me yesterday. I waited a couple hours and tried again.

Just spoke with PayPal they stated they won’t let the payment go through for security purposes. But other transactions will work fine. So confused.

I paid with a credit card.
I had an open message out to customer service which was answered after our phone call. The message more or less said “call eBay, I’m so happy we could take care of this for you”
The phone call before that, I was put on hold at least 5 times. First she said you will need to use another payment. Then I asked why, and she said try now it should work. It didn’t. After another hold she said this one transaction was blocked because of security purposes but all other transactions through eBay should work. I said ok, that makes no sense. Have a good day.
Seller had 36,000 feedback. I am tempted to buy something now and test if it works now. Guessing not.
