Majel Barrett-Roddenberry autos? They have had those for awhile. Unless they are cuts.

The women of the long-running science fiction franchise get another run on cardboard with a rather comprehensive release that even includes autographs signed by Majel Barrett-Roddenberry back in 2008.
Rittenhouse is known for having more signed for possible future releases.

What about the woman from Star Trek The Voyage Home who helped save the whales? I looked her name up -- Catherine Hicks. She was the mom who got attacked by Chucky in Child's Play lol

Didn't they already release a "Women of Star Trek" a while back?
Or my brain playing tricks on me or is this just an updated version including Discovery/Picard actresses?

There have been several Women of Star Trek releases, most recently in 2017 as part of the 50th anniversary lineup.

I'm hoping for Nicole de Boer.
I have to say, though, at these prices, a sketch a case should be standard.

This is the "Art and Images" version. Hopefully it features original art and not just Photoshop filters. Too many companies do that and the end result always looks poor.

Any idea what the ‘Quotable’ Women of Star Trek Expansion cards or Women of Star Trek Archive Collection Expansion cards are? Expansion to what?

Additions to existing insert sets released in other products
For example - the "The Women of Star Trek 50th Anniversary" release had an insert set called "Quotable Women of Star Trek". So it is cards for additional characters in that same design/format.

Ah, that makes sense. Thanks.

Happened to check the website tonight and the sell sheet has been posted for this:
https://www.scifihobby.com/products/startrek/wost2021/
Personally, I'm not very excited by the five "teaser" autographs. The Guinan Quotable autograph is a nice addition, but the WOST logo is looking quite dated, and Zoe Saldana's fourth full bleed Star Trek auto doesn't do much more than increase her print run.

I'm not sure Nichelle Nichols is still signing either.

I'm glad it's not just me thinking the WOST autograph cards need an update. That logo/design are so meh.
I plan to be in if Ian breaks a case, all the same. ;)

I’m tempted to buy a case. I’ve been looking for a Star Trek set to go big on Star Trek: Picard Season 1 didn’t work out. I’m a set builder and don’t like the idea of numbered inserts but it could still be fun to bust a case of this.

Looks like this has been delayed by 2 months.
New release date on the Rittenhouse web site is October 13.

Bummer. I finally bit the bullet and ordered a case so of course it gets delayed. Oh well, more time to make room for all the cards I'll need to sort and store.

According to a post from a representative, this has now been delayed to early 2022 due adding more signers and something about season 4 of discovery .. kristie alley was one of the mentioned ones being added.. this was on Facebook

Steve Charendoff posted the following at the Rittenhouse Archives message board on July 1:
Apologies for the delay with Women of Star Trek. We actually had some late-breaking opportunities to add more signers, including Kirstie Alley, Catherine Hicks, Nicole de Boer, Mary Chieffo et al. So we decided to take advantage of that. It also appears that the first episodes of ST Discovery Season 4 will begin airing in December and run through March (as best I can tell), so we decided to push back the release of the new series of Disco cards until early 2022, rather than November or December. This will enable us to better spread out the Star Trek card releases and have them timed better. All good news as far as we're concerned. Hope you agree.
I think Star Trek: Discovery Season Three has been pushed back to early 2022, not Women of Star Trek: Art and Images. It still shows 10/13 on the official release schedule.

I just saw Blowout has sold out of preorders. I was going to wait until the checklist came out or, better still, I could see case breaks, but I'm wondering about that now.
Does everyone else know something I don't about how great this is going to be?

Well the checklist is out, minus the important part:
https://www.scifihobby.com/products/checklist.cfm?SetID=374
But other than the note Steve posted on the Rittenhouse site (That BobCollects posted on 7/21) I haven't heard anything. Though I do hope this is a good set, when was the last time everyone was right to be excited about a non-sports release?

I guarantee they didn't actually sell out, someone just needs to manually release more for sale. Whether it will be the same price though... who knows.

I think the total autograph checklist size will have a big impact, as there has been a trend in recent releases for larger and larger checklists. I think the last few Rittenhouse releases have all been 75+.

Yep, just missing the part where we learn if all the good autograph cards are scarce and one episode guest stars of no renown are counted as extremely limited - those pesky details. ;)

Ah, I hadn't thought of your first point, thanks.
I don't think more is always better. When they have an actor who played something like "dying Borg drone," is there one single person who who said, "Ohhh, can't want to get that one."??

The autograph checklist is out, 112 cards total. Lots of names I don’t recognize, many with two different cards. Nicole De Boer has four, which seems highly unusual.

I was surprised with the four De Boers too, but it's great news for me because I want to pick up one for my DS9 main cast collection and they shouldn't be pricey with this many cards released.
I gave up searching Memory Alpha for the names I didn't recognize early on, there were too many of them. Happily, all the good cards aren't scarce. I'm only seeing two scarce aside from the archive box cards (Zoe Saldana and Sonequa Martin-Green).

I haven't had time to take pictures and start a thread in the breaks section but I wanted to share my thoughts after opening three boxes from my case.
I really like the look of the base set. The Artist's Rendition Triple Art Cards are very nice, too. The other inserts are okay.
Base set parallels appear to be one per box. I've only come across a single red parallel Artist's Rendition Triple Art Card.
Three autos per box sounds great but not with such a huge list of signers and so many of them being minor guest stars. Also, I didn't realize the Jeri Ryan and Peyton List cards are archive box exclusives. Bummer.
My first box had a Majel Barrett auto which was awesome to pull. I was worried it would be downhill from there. The second box had a Barbara Baldavin TOS Classic auto as the best hit. Then in the third box I found a Mary Chieffo autographed relic card (1:1152 packs) so maybe the case has a few more surprises in store. The best auto in the third box was a Legends of Star Trek Robin Curtis.
I'm hoping to hit one of Nicole De Boer's four auto cards for my personal collection. Sofia Boutella or Zoe Saldana would be nice to pull to recoup some of the cost of the case.

Is there any reason not to buy an open case of 12 sealed boxes? I’m having a blast with the sealed case I bought from a BO competitor. Sealed cases are cheaper on eBay than BO and someone seems to be selling opened cases with sealed boxes even cheaper.
Other than potentially not getting a case topper card and not having a sealed case to resell, is buying an open case a bad idea? Can sealed boxes be searched somehow? Weighed? X-rayed?

My fear would be someone who opened a lot of cases and when they hit a sketch or relic they stopped and combined the rest. Same with the metal portrait card. Would think with a scale you could find which box has it. Still might get a good autograph but doubtful on a sketch or metal portrait.

I forgot about the metal portrait cards and the relics. I was focusing on the autographs but there's no way to figure out what autos are in a specific box. Buying an open case of sealed boxes felt weird to me. There's really no reason for a seller to open a case and then sell it with the same 12 boxes inside. Like you say, the only explanation is opening a ton of cases, hoping you've pulled the biggest hits out, and selling the leftover boxes.
