I have 17 cards in my Diamond Anniversary portfolio, but I keep getting trade requests for one card: a 1973 Andy Messersmith. In the week or so since trading went live, I have gotten 59 unique trade requests for that card. I have probably gotten 20 or less trade requests for all my other cards combined (which includes 3 cards from 1960 and earlier.) I haven't kept a running total on the usernames making the requests, except to note that there are only 2 or 3 users I have gotten repeat offers from.

I just don't get why that card is so popular. I mean, I understand Messersmith had a good career and played a key role in bringing down the reserve clause. But, in the end it is a $2 high book card. Any thoughts?

It's because already over 220+ of the card has been redeemed, making it very common so most people believe they can offer very little and move down a few years and get it easily

You misunderstand. I have the Messersmith and I have gotten 59 60 requests from people who want it.

Added later: Never mind. I initially misunderstood your point. Got it now. And I guess it explains why most of the offers have been for junk.

I was wondering the same thing about my 1973 Leo Cardenas. I have had a bunch of offers for junk.

Cards that keep popping up in the "recently unlocked" list over and over usually trigger offers
