Honestly no. It's crazy to me that majority of people pay like $1,000 for a box and I swear a majority of the time they get a total value of like $65 out of the box. It's just not making sense right now.

$65? Come on. Its closer to $150-200.
Turning $1000 into $200 real quick.

I got lucky and walked into a walmart that was putting out select basketball. Out of the 8 blasters, probably only getting 2/3 of my money back if I were to sell right away. The blasters went from $20 to $35 at walmart so its now looking like its not worth it on retail as well. Especially when more and more keeps coming out and driving the prices down.

Idk man. There are some absolute brutal boxes out there. I'd say majority get you that $200 back. But it's no surprise if you end up with only like $65 bucks back.

If you really want the best chance at a 1/1, get a hobby box of Elite. They are expensive, but they’re not crazy, and there weren’t a ton of boxes produced (compared to most other Panini sets) so you actually have a somewhat realistic chance of pulling a 1/1 or at least a gold #’d /10.

best % chance of hitting a monster 1/1 worth over $5000 would be Flawless.
Say for example a flawless box of 2019, how would you know if most of the big hits have been pulled versus somehting that just came out? Is there still value?

Thanks for the info, in general is it a mistake to go back and buy hobby boxes of cards from a year or two ago because maybe most of the monster hits have been pulled?

All of them are worth it if you look it as entertainment and look past the price tag

I'll sell you a 1/1 for $25. I can even put it in a box for you to "rip" :)

People are not buying wax to rip for themselves at these ridiculously over-inflated prices. 95% of the people buying wax to rip these days are breakers. Most people either can't afford to buy or have enough common sense to not buy wax at these rip-off prices

Select h2 is pretty reasonable. You get a chance at a 1/1 about every three cases.

Where are these selling for $39? I got about a million I'd be over the moon to get $39 per box for.

Yes we will and do if you are someone that complains about pricing.
But for example had a customer drop $3000 on boxes on Saturday. He just wanted to rip, didnt care what he hit (and we actually gave him $4000 for what he hit) but he just enjoyed the aspect of opening and seeing the guys in their cards. That is what it was for him and we have had a number of customers like that.

Pretty easy to do if you enjoy things.
One of our favorite customers is obsessed with Chronicles in every sport. He has busted box after box and just enjoys it. We have told him for us to reorder it is going to be higher and he still wants more.

Hahaha this made me laugh because it’s usually the other way around (“Who’s selling for $39 per so I can load up?!”).
Good luck, moss! I’m still sitting on a bunch of 19-20 HPS retail so I feel your pain.

We all need these kind of customers, but unfortunately they are rare and usually die off very quickly.

Yeah guys, stop ripping, it's not worth it. That way prices can drop more and I can get an even bigger discount when I rip.

Lol good luck to you too! You don't wanna guess between Hoops Premium and Chronicles how much of a lose I would take right now if I sold everything. If I look at my lists I'll probably throw up. Hoops Premium alone has gotta be over $15k lose right now.
