My First Graded Card Gerrit Cole

With the draft approaching I decided to get my Gerrit Cole bowman chrome wrapper redemtion autographed card /99 graded here is the final result. Thx all for the input and help with grading my first card. Sorry the pictures areant the greatest my scanner kinda sucks.

Btw anyone have an idea of the value now?? I havent seen a graded one end yet so not sure, thx for any input and help.

That card is gorgeous, my guess is it would bring about $450.

Definitely don't sell it now. You'd only get a fraction of what you could in 3 months. Beautiful card, first one I've seen graded that high!

There are currently 3 BGS 9.5's. The first one was listed on ebay but then pulled and sold offline I believe (the sale price was never released). A board member here Jaypers got the second and now this is the third. I don't know about the subgrades on Jaypers' 9.5, but the first on that is listed at $1999/OBO on ebay has a "9" for centering which usually hurts the value of a card that is graded a 9.5 overall. The subgrades on this one are high so it should sell very well. I think Cole will sell a little stronger after he is drafted #1 or #2 overall in June, and I don't think it will matter if he goes #1 or #2 for his prices since the Pirates draft #1 and the Mariners draft #2. The Mariners definitely have a better hobby following and there will be some really sick hype not just in the hobby, but in all of baseball with the thoughts of Felix Hernandez, Michael Pineda, and Gerrit Cole going 1-2-3 in a rotation in a pitcher's ballpark. If you list it on ebay I'm sure we'll all see it.

This was the first, yours is the third. Yours has much higher subgrades and is more desirable as a result. There is no way this is a $1999 card, but it wouldn't surprise me to see yours go for over $500 right now. My guess is that around his Major League debut, probably in 2012, it could go for $800-$1000. Good luck whatever you decide to do with it.
