Is there time before the minor league season to move him up to High A or do you think they'll wait for next year?

I will never understand such short outings for him. I don't think he has pitched more than 5 innings all year. Tough to be a starter that way.

What a season. 30-20 club at 21 years old. Wonder how many players have achieved that?

Sad for the hobby that they didn't bring him up this year. Hopefully he gets called up early next year.

Royals looking good...

Witt - .297, 30 HR, 89 RBI (21 yrs old)
Melendez - .283, 36 HR, 82 RBI (22 yrs old)

Funny how Witt can be in consideration for top overall prospect and Melendez isn't even considered a top 100 guy. Maybe if MJ goes 40/100 this year a few will notice?

He's getting close though. He's there in a few publications. Also, he's been playing a little 3B now se we'll see how that goes. He's always had the arm.

How is the Royals not burning up a year of service time in a lost year sad for the hobby?

They have a logjam in the infield, they need outfielders, can witt play center?

It's fine to think he should be in consideration for top prospects lists now (He's #70 on MLB.com's updated list), but wondering why a guy who hasn't performed before this year wasn't considered a top prospect is just silly. The last year he played (2019), he was awful (.571 OPS).

Y'all really need to keep your hindsight bias in check.
