To be honest, I paid zero attention to him before a month ago. 1x all star and looks like he's been a pretty good strike-out machine his entire career.

Looks like he has a good shot at AL Cy Young and will be turning 30 this year. Has almost 1300 strikeouts lifetime. To me he seems like he'd be a short term hold. If you're going to sell, around this time or if he wins Cy Young would be the time to do it.

Is there anything else with this guy I'm missing? I don't see him getting to any major milestones in his career, but I see his cards selling quickly. Other than being a fan of his, what would be the reason to be buying his cards right now other than maybe making a quick buck if he wins Cy Young?

Buy now? Definitely not as I assume his RCs are spiking nicely now. He’s a guy I had keystered for 3 years(tCU color and update blacks) but bailed on one year too early.
It looked like he had turned a corner back in 2018? Then regressed back with the walks again and I punted.
He’s talented enough to hold onto a couple parallels just in case he goes on a good run for 3 + years but he’s just as likely to be up and down going forward like Snell has been IMO.

Yeah, I would not buy now. I sold an Update black over the weekend for $100, before yesterday's 7 IP 13 K start. Now I'm thinking that was low, but profit is profit. Anyway, now would perhaps be the worst time to buy IMO.
