On April 15, 1963 the New York Titans officially changed their name to the New York Jets and hired Weeb Ewbank as head coach. Here is the program cover from New York's first home game as the Jets:

Pretty ironic that the Oilers are now the Titans.

The Jets still wear their Titans uniforms for Throwbacks.

He coached the Jets to the Super Bowl Championship in 1969. It was the first Super Bowl victory by the AFL, and it came against his former team as he previously coached the Baltimore Colts.

Joe Namath was the MVP, and he upset the heavily favorite Colts.

I love those throwbacks!

I also wouldn't mind having a program in good condition from that game. Not a Jets fan, but still something pretty cool to put in my " sports room " to show off!

I recently bought a Weeb Ewbank signed check off the Bay....the signature is beautiful!!!
It was drawn off a bank here in Middletown too!
