HUGE MESS UP! 2021 bowman chrome. Orange /75???!?

Hello! I thought orange is supposed to be /25, I opened a hobby case and got a duran orange /75, and then next a Pineda orange /75. It is clearly orange as I used the “yellow parallel” to compare. How do I go about selling these orange parallels /75? Should I contact Topps?

I have seen on Ebay both Orange /25 and /75..

maybe:
- some players have a print run of /25 and others /75
- they did mix up certain players with the /75 and should have simply said /25
- they mixed up certain players Orange/Yellow Stamps (haven't seen a Yellow with a /25 though)
- there are two tones of orange lol (doubt it)

you list them as orange parallels serial numbered to 75. that's what the card is. it's orange and numbered to 75. its not an orange /25.

Like in Topps Chrome they have Pink NOT numbered, and then Pink numbered and there is NO difference in color at all.

Topps tweeted about a month ago that this mistake was known to them. Rather than push back the release, they told us about it.

it could be one of many things like mentioned aboveThere was an error with the PMS color at the printer, is what they said. We now know it's -- they just used the Orange PMS color instead of the Yellow PMS color.

We don't yet know if it's every player.

The /75 is a tangerine parallel. Haha.

There was an error with the PMS color at the printer, is what they said. We now know it's -- they just used the Orange PMS color instead of the Yellow PMS color.

oh ok. so what Im getting from your message is that
some players won't have a Yellow /75, but instead have an Orange /75 on top of every player having their regular orange /25 ?

Interesting issue will be whether each person has a yellow out of 75 and an orange /75, and then if so are all 75 of the orange or are there only a few sheets that had the orange error.

I noticed that they dispensed with the hard plastic cases and foam in HTA this year. That might be a sign that they are going to go the cheapest possible route from here on. Those cases are cool. I think they are the same as the Topps Now/HR Challenge ones.

I was checking out the checklist on Cardboard Connection and they acknowledged the print issue Topps had. They inadvertently printed cards intended to be on the Canary Yellow stock on the Orange stock. So now there are /25 and /75 of the same color.

It's a matter of the ink they printed -- whether it was a bad order callout from Topps or if the the printer made the mistake is ambiguous, but they used the Orange PMS color instead of the Yellow PMS color.

Until we see some 'cross-pollination' with specific players having Orange /75 & Yellow /75, we can assume that some players will have 100 orange and 0 yellow, and the others are done correctly.

Not to split hairs but the true oranges are definitely brighter/bolder. I have the Pedro Leon /75 and /25. The /25 looks fantastic. The /75 just looks weird. I would hope the true orange still sells like a true orange but you never know.

They will likely be using the same printing companies as Topps and Panini, so expect wrong colors on your Topps Fanatics Chrome Fanaticsfractor and the same print lines and roller marks on your Panini Select Fanatics Neon Prizm Slime Green Fanaticsgasm parallels

Or they are hard to acquire with overseas issues... same with leaf not toploading their products any more

I have a Colmenarez base orange /75 and have an orange ref auto /25 to compare to. The /75 orange seems darker compared to the /25 type. I'll have to see about posting pictures when I get back from my trip.

Speaking of mess ups: I opened an HTA box today. One of my three autos was an Ismael Mena Green/99. I checked the list and, as I thought, he's not on the checklist. It's an auto from Bowman (it's the same pick, same everything).

Topps has been using different orange hues for years. There was a discussion on it regarding the auto and non-auto versions of 2011 Bowman Draft. I’ll search for the thread and post a link, as I think it has side-by-side pics to compare.
