Both the Yankees and Red Sox probably have the largest fanbases, yes. However, they are both very polarizing teams. Fans of just about any other team hates them.

Normally, i'd say it was a bad idea to send him but when you have Gallo in the line-up it guarantees an out without the chance to advance a runner. You might as well take the chance and hope for a bad throw.

It's not any better of a decision because he kind of almost got close enough to be safe. That doesn't make it any better of a send when you get beat by the throw by that much.

I remember Sanchez had a horrible gaffe earlier in the year. I forget against who, but the relay had the runner dead to rights. Sanchez got lazy with the tag by going up high, and the guy ended up being safe because of it. You'd never say the third base coach did his job correctly in that scenario. Why now?

The beauty of baseball.

If Judge is safe then everyone is saying what a great decision it was to send him with Gallo up next. Instead he is out and criticizing abounds.

Same with Cora. He pulls Eovaldi after 70 pitches and one hard hit ball on a curve ball and people think it is a bad decision. But the bullpen pitches lights out and Cora looks like a genius.

It's a fluky game no doubt.

I guess it's more the fact that the Yankees scraped into the WC as the pre-season outright second favourite( only behind the Dodgers) and that Boston got into the WC when most thought that was not going to happen.

Cora also has a ring. Boone has not been to the WS.

I haven't followed MLB as closely as previous years but I really like Eovaldi and seeing him tonight reminded me of his epic relief stint in game 3 of the 2018 WS. One of the best games of recent years.

Bit old for hobby love but he's a beauty.

It's not any better of a decision because he kind of almost got close enough to be safe. That doesn't make it any better of a send when you get beat by the throw by that much.

I remember Sanchez had a horrible gaffe earlier in the year. I forget against who, but the relay had the runner dead to rights. Sanchez got lazy with the tag by going up high, and the guy ended up being safe because of it. You'd never say the third base coach did his job correctly in that scenario. Why now?

I just watched the replay on the highlights on ESPN this morning: Judge was dead by 5 feet.;)

100% Nevin's fault.
Not only should he have held Judge up at third, but he waited way to long to make a decision to wave him home or hold him up.
