According to upper deck's blog the TBD redemptions are not of the 2011 rookies this is unfortunate.http://upperdeckblog.com/2011/04/ask-ud-war-of-words-with-panini-exquisite-redemptions-how-to-redeem-who%E2%80%99s-signing-and-the-nhl-expo/

Wow, people who sold them early did well. I'm still curious as to who the tri-fold sigs are going to be. I mean it has to be some big name guys.

Smart, but sneaky, move by Upper Deck. Their reasons for the TBD seem valid:

“We intentionally did not mark the player’s names on these cards as we wanted to reveal them once the signatures came back in house. Having them listed at ‘TBD’ allows us some flexibility where if any athlete takes too long to sign, we can simply remove them from the line-up and collectors won’t be stuck waiting for them. These cards are NOT for members of the 2011 NFL rookie class. The players included in this set are in line with other players collectors are pulling. We will start releasing names in the coming weeks after they have completed signing and we will ship them out randomly to fans who have redeemed them at that time.”

However, I'm sure they imagined they would gain some hype if collectors thought the TBD's were 2011 RC's. They could have easily put "TBD 2010 RC", but they didn't. Sneaky.

But I'm not too upset, 2010 Exq is still a totally great product IMO.

Oh, and thanks to the OP for finding this info.

I don't think "Nick Leslie" is entirely correct. I believe the TBD redemptions with numbers on them will be 2010 Rookies, but you can't have a tri-fold book TBD with no numbering be from the 2010 class. They are basically saying, we will send you whatever we please whenever the player sends them back."

Absolutely terrible.

Thats kinda what I got out of it.
Send them a random card of whoever whenever they get the cards back. So it looks like there is no way in heck of knowing what redemption card will equal what player other than the ones numbered.

I agree. Makes buying a redemption an even riskier proposition than normal. Now it is not only will the card be made, but who will the card be from... UD can say whatever they want, but I think they needed to fill some cases and thought "lets just throw in "mystery" redemptions now and figure out the rest later."

Not to mention is makes it look like the case hit too. The TBD cards usually ended up being the 2nd or 3rd overall pick in the draft style group breaks I've been in.

"Sweet my tri-fold redemption from Exquisite came in!.......wtf....Alex Smith, Trent Edwards, and Jason Campbell?"

I would pay at least $50 for a

Jamarcus Russell/Akili Smith/Ryan Leaf triple auto book

they should just send out incredibly random books:

Miley Cyrus/Selena Gomez/Regis Philbin

50cent/DMX/Kelly Clarkson

Betty White/Hellen Mirren/Ron Jeremy
