Hmmmmmppphhh.......Interesting to see the price difference from Topps.com at release for these. Some are higher, some are lower plus shipping is free.

I'm guessing the prices for Flagship are going to be higher this year. Fanatics paid a lot for licensing rights and part of that is going to be passed on to the consumer.

I compared the first dozen or so hobby and jumbo boxes. BO was $40-$70 cheaper on every single one of them.

Yes, that stuff has been up a while now. My rep even called trying to sell me Gold Label (I didn't buy the first time), he said they were allowing additional purchases even if you bought before. Pass.

So folks familiar with fanatics knows they release at market price and NEVER change it lol market goes up or down, fanatics price stays the same.

I personally think prices will increase but a thought I had to why prices could stay the same or decrease is because they will now be the manufacturer, they aren't going to have to buy from topps at some markup % (probably still less than retail) and so maybe that helps keep prices ok

Coupon code and Costco gift cards get it down to BO levels but with tax. Fanatics has always been about the coupon codes, Costco gift cards, and usually just the fanatics exclusive stuff (blasters, complete sets, etc).

The optic nba complete sets with the 5 pack of green pulsars get down to about 110 per before tax. Probably not a bad hold. And easily worth it if you hit a decent or higher rookie green pulsar.

The mlbpa deal starts in 2023, with the mlb properties contract starting in 2026.

This year is all about “recoup the topps sale”

So now I have to go out and watch another site for their gift cards to be on sale just to get comparable prices? Nothing about what you said sounds encouraging at all. If they only time prices are reasonable is when you combine multiple discount sales and promos, that says something.

Well you ignored the last part of my post though - I'm not combining coupon codes and discounted gift cards for 2021 Topps wax nor should you... See what a 2019-20 Prizm Basketball Fanatics exclusive blaster sells for today and realize those were sold well under MSRP with those discounts... Was probably the easiest, most lucrative flip in the past 4 years. Then you use that to buy the baseball wax once it drops in price at the big 3... Repeat. :)

I ignored the second half because it wasn't relevant to the comment you replied to. You replied to a comment regarding 2021 wax. It was a comment on Fanatics, who owns Topps now, already selling the same wax at a higher price. You said discount codes and Costco gift cards get a product (2021 Bowman Sterling, which is 2021 Topps wax) down to BO level, why would I assume you weren't talking about doing that for 2021 wax?

What you are talking about is flipping wax and buying last year's product, no one else was talking about that. That's great that you found a way to make money doing that, but what does that have to do buying current year product in the current year? Of course last year's products' prices drop when the current year's product comes out, that's pretty basic business strategy.

I loaded up on Bowman Chrome Hobby on a deal like this back when it was on the site. Woke up to multiple cancelation emails due to their mistake.

Doesn’t matter. That code wasn’t supposed to work on wax. Even if it is overpriced. That is why they deactivated it when the masses started using it. They realized their mistake. Now it’s just a matter of honoring it or not.
