About 6 or 7 months ago, a local collector brought a large collection of sealed late 90's and early 2000's boxes into my LCS and the owner purchased it. There was a lot of mid/late 90's chrome and finest. He basically had one of everything. A lot of the heavy hitters have been sold but there is still quite a bit left. I bought a 1997 Flair Showcase football box a few months back and hit a Jerry Rice Legacy (I posted it in the box breaks section). I've bought a couple EX2000 baseball boxes and didn't do the greatest, but it was just fun to rip something from when I was a kid again.

Fast forward to today, there was a box of 1997 Skybox Metal Universe football that at the time it was priced, was right in line with the market; however, we all know what has happened with Metal the last few months with PMG fury bleeding over to football from basketball. So today, I picked the box up, and now I sit here with it on my desk next to me, fighting the animal urge to tear into it, but I was hoping someone might know how often the PMG's fell. I know what they're numbered to, but looking back I can remember opening a box or two of this with my dad and not hitting a single one. Anyway, here is a pic of it with it's original $65 price tag.

Yeah hat $65.00 price tag sticker lowers the value of the box and it’s considered altered. :(

So rip that bad boy:)

The contents of that sealed box being worth more after opening is very low.

I believe in the most recent thread about this someone said Red PMG was 1 in 48 packs which puts green 1 in 480 packs

Very risky box to open(though the temptation is justified!).

Man I would not open at the prices it's selling for. Football guys values aren't as strong, and the odds to get a key PMG of a good player or slim.
