This eBay store went from selling $8-15 items on average to dropping the most insane number of sports cards - in the thousands. Tons of Jordan RC's, Jeter SP PSA 9, 2nd year Jordan 10's, Brady RC's and pretty much everything else that's high dollar that you can think of.
They have great feedback of over 500 but what seems suspicious to me is that they is reusing photos from Probstein and others and it appears as there is no same background in his photo listings. They are all over the place. Second is that they are all scheduled to end at the same time and third, they have tons of the same copies of high-end cards.
Is this person gearing up to cash out and close shop? They have a lot of feedback that they built up, but I didn't see anything in their past sales on this level. See for yourself.
Has anyone dealt with this person before? They are listed in the UK.

I agree with you. That's shady. Bad bad news

Hasn't there been a trend of hacked UK accounts that all list expensive items like the ones you mentioned. I'd assume the same here.

I had already bid on one of their items (https://www.ebay.com/itm/373919190026?hash=item570f520c0a:g:7FgAAOSwXPVhWOOD) before seeing this thread.

Just another hacked account, the auctions will all be cancelled.

Definitely hacked. Pictures of other sellers with their watermarks. Report as fraud please.

You asked and answered your own question. Clearly it's a bad operator.

It's clearly hacked. Look at all the '48 Leaf Jackie Robinsons.
The dead give aways:
- backgrounds of each auction are different
- all the watermarked images from Probstein

This has been going on for months now.

Nothing new. One of these pops up every week. Different account, mostly the same cards. eBay deletes it within days of the hack.

I have seen at least 2 of these UK accounts... let me see if I can find the other ones again.

Interesting, i just had a high end listing of mine posted by a shop in the UK. Same exact title, description and photos. Ive never had that happen before so i reached out asking how they came about owning the card. Never got a response back but the listing was taken down.. Very strange. This is the seller

It’s not strange. This has been occurring for months. There have been dozens of hacked accounts. They do mass listings of items that they have scraped images and descriptions for. Each item directs you to contact the seller off eBay to arrange a purchase.
This continues to happen because eBay sucks. There is no reason why they can’t develop an algorithm to stop listing activity like this.

Found one today. Tons of high end baseball listed - 18 update case, Soto black, Soto autos - and all listed as .99 but then a picture that says don’t bid, it’ll be deleted, contact us directly to buy. And the direct buy price was way low. But it was a 100% feedback seller who seemed to be hacked as well. And they’re all gone now.

And they're back. The guy has been emailing me and said i should get an email with a way to directly buy. Which I wasn't seeing. Then i checked spam and it was there, which is strange. But I have the option to click BUY IT NOW on something for a very good price. This feels eerily similar to my FB sapphire acuna last week, as in it's too good to be true. Do I roll the dice on it?

How many times do you need to read "these are hacked accounts" before realizing the cards don't exist?

So you meant to tell me the guy who sells nuts and bolts over eBay didn’t magically come into possession of a $15,000 Soto update parallel that he wants to sell at a steal of a price?

How does the scam work? How do they keep the money when the card is not delivered?

They trick people into paying them outside of ebay, through a wire transfer or similar means, so that there's no real way to get the money back.

So eBay eats it?

So eBay eats it?
Sounds like they try and get paid outside of eBay which means eBay doesn't eat anything since the transaction never happened on eBay. Only one who loses would be the buyer.
