“While Florio notes it's "unclear" whether Vincent "deliberately lied" to Mortensen, Vincent was the one who handed out the initial four-game suspension to Brady in May 2015, suggesting a conflict of interest behind NFL walls as it investigated Brady.
More damning for the NFL, however, was Florio's second report: that the NFL "expunged" PSI (pounds per square inch) numbers taken during the 2015 season to determine how footballs gained or lost pressure due to weather.”
So the league intentionally went after Brady and the Patriots when the science proved no wrong doing on the part of NE. Then the NFL doubles down and hides the evidence they accumulated on PSI over the season.
Kraft should sue Goodell and demand his million bucks and draft picks back. Between this and the Flores suit, the league needs a big shakeup in leadership.

Of course they went after Brady and the Pats.
A percentage of league owners felt Goodell went too light after spygate and were incensed that he destroyed the evidence. Deflategate gave them the ability to exact their pound of flesh and they went for it.
I just assumed this was generally known.

In for the comments that Brady is still a cheater, even though his numbers looked BETTER after deflategate.

Generally assumed, but now we have confirmation. Would love to hear Goodell try to justify this.

Deflategate, for me, has to be the silliest waste of time “scandal” in the history of sports.
Even if he did it, I don’t care. He could beat you throwing pineapples.

Oh he won’t.
The people he answers to are the ones who wanted it.

It is the equivalent of the Jan 6th investigation.

Nonsense. That response is why we have an "ignore list" that we can add users like daverat to.

Imagine investigating a crime that you committed. Now that sounds like a book deal!

Deflategate was a goofy witch hunt and HUGE waste of time and money.
But at least it gave us this gem

The whole thing was nothing but jealous haters doing whatever they could to attack the dynasty and attack the goat.
Before deflategate ever happened, I remember watching Carolina play in Minnesota and it was like 5 degrees outside. The Fox cameras showed Carolina heating up their footballs with the sideline warmers. I immediately laughed to myself and said “that’s illegal” and then I thought little more of it.
Now why would a team in freezing cold weather heat up the footballs? The answer is to make them easier to grip, hold and handle. So they were cheating on live TV to gain an advantage.
And not a damn soul cared. They got a letter of warning and nothing else.

This will go no where. Brady will get some vindication, but no one outside of NE will really hear about it. The NFL and media has a bigger story to cover with this whole Brian Flores mess.

Goodell was just asked a Q about it. He claims to have no idea about what happened to the data from spot checks and basically no records were kept of the spots checks. The sole purpose of spot checks where only to see if someone was tampering with footballs during games and no data was kept.

I'm sure Kraft was aware of this, as he sits on various boards within the front office. To assume that he or Jonathan weren't aware is laughable at best.
To others point, this was likely the other owners pound of flesh for Spygate, and Robert had to sit there and take it.
With everything going on right now with Snyder, I doubt RKK would start slinging dirt at the other owners. As I'm sure they all have dirt on the skeletons in each's closet.

Its derailing the thread and breaking the rules. Itd be a shame if someone reported it.
