This can’t be real, can it? I did some homework on fakes and it has all the obvious characteristics that should be found on a Type 1. Any thoughts? And please tell me the indicators you’re looking at. No, it is not in hand…

Probably a picture cut out of a book or magazine. I wouldn't buy it.

It’s not real - the black and yellow are deep, rich colors- everything else has a copy of a copy of a copy looking faded / colors not bold enough appearance. It’s not even a good fake - that’s how fake it is

The card that was scanned in to make this copy was a real one. This is a printout.

Anything raw of this caliber that you’re looking to purchase should be graded. However, if it’s not, I would make a deal contingent on it being graded first. If it’s authentic, I would pay the fees, if it’s not authentic, the seller pays the fees. Simple way to protect yourself on a purchase like this.

As for the card, I am no expert. The Knowledge here and on other vintage forums goes a long way. Good luck!

And the biggest red flag.......the seller keeps contacting me asking if I want the card.

Say "Yes, as I'd love to have a fun coaster for my drinks."

Tell him to send into SGC for grading, and if it comes back authentic, you’ll buy the card and cover the cost of grading. It’s obviously fake, so it’ll just be fun to see his reply.

No doubt its fake - and a bad fake at that but curious, what is the scammer trying to pawn this off to you for? How much is he asking?
