Is DK Metcalf the obvious answer?
Who do you think it is?

You would be surprised to see who it would be. It could be reserve journeyman or an athletic punter. Being the fastest guy in the league doesn't make you the most athletic.
I recall Todd Christiansen setting age group decathlon records after he retired form the NFL. He was never the fastest Raider, Russ Francis was encouraged by Bruce Jenner to take up the decathlon in college because he could throw the javelin at world level and was reasonably fast.

Myles Garrett
You can call me a homer all you want... I've also never seen a guy his size do the things he does whether stuff he posts on Instagram or watch the Celebrity AS game last Friday. Some of the dunks you see floating around the google machine? No one his size should be able to make them that easy
This dude is 275 doing 64 inch box jumps
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a5ERWgS7JSo
He also runs a 4.57 and did 33 reps on the bench during his combine (and I bet he could do more now)
He's a legit physical freak

Not saying he's the clear cut #1, as that is an awfully difficult thing to measure, but Garrett was a name that popped into my head...and I'm not a homer. I've seen some of those dunks...jaw might still be on the ground. He is an absolute freak.

Dan Snyder's ability to dodge any kind of punishment or accountability has to put him up near the top.

Definitely going to be a "clear cut" because it's impossible to measure
As was mentioned above how do you compare some like Myles to someone like Donald? Because what Donald can do is absolutely amazing (not just on the field)
But Myles, whether he's a Cleveland Brown or not, has to immediately come to mind

Guess it depends on your definition of athletic.
In my mind when I think of athletic I think of people like Patrick Mahomes. He was a fantastic 3 sport athlete. He has real MLB potential like his father. also a very good basketball player.
most physically gifted I would say yes Myles Garrett is an absolute freak of nature.

I remember working with a guy and we were discussing what the Browns should do with that pick. I told him, don't make it complicated and just take Garrett. He was thinking QB or RB. After watching the combine, he came in the next day and said "Yeah, take Garrett, that is no brainer". Dude was faster than TEs in a DLineman size/strenght body.

Agree with this also........watching him dunk and play in the NBA all star game I was definitely impressed
We already know he can swing a helmet well, so assuming he can hit HR's also:D:D:D:D:D:D

I'd go with a linebacker/safety on defense that's about 6'1-6'3 (210-250 pounds) that can catch. I'm sure you can find one that can play any position on their side of the ball. Additionally, they can probably play any position on offense, even backup O-line if they had the time to get to a 285 pound minimum and learn basic blocking technique.

I think some of the posters above were pretty spot on with Micah Parsons...that guy is a great athlete

Myles Garrett, I don't think there is much debate after you see his performance data. He might be able to play every position but QB, QB is not based solely on athleticism.

This is the correct answer.
Looking back, a few other names that come to mind:
-Bo Jackson
-Deion Sanders
-Larry Allen
And if you don't know about Larry Allen, look up some YouTube highlights of the guy.

Kyler Murray should be in consideration. Maybe not the most physical specimen mentioned, but a Heisman winner, #1 NFL draft pick, and # 9 MLB draft pick.
Historically, would likely be Thorpe or Jim Brown, with the latter being arguably the best player ever in football and lacrosse.

That Jim Brown guy use to have a decent skill set in various sports.
Today's players are siphoned into a singular sport going into High School and even more so into College. It will never be where multiple players in College are ALL-AMERICANS in that sport but play another in the pro's. Kirk Gibson, Jim Brown, Jackie Robinson, etc.

We don't even see two-way players even more.
I actually think we could solve the Overtime Conundrum if the NFL implemented something like soccer—regular style play but with dramatically restricted substitutions.
Imagine if teams could only sub out one player every change of possession and basically had to decide which 10 guys would play both offense and defense during the final period.

Bryon Jones is up there…he set the world record for standing broad-jump by leaping 12-feet, 3-inches at the combine.
From 2015: The name of this blog is 3 Sigma Athlete, which refers to the rare NFL player who stands three standard deviations above the NFL standard pSPARQ at a given position...3 sigma athletes don’t show up very often [there are now five of them: Jones, Evan Mathis, J.J. Watt, Calvin Johnson, and Lane Johnson]. 3 standard deviations from the mean corresponds to the 99.87th percentile. It isn’t 1 in 1000, but it isn’t far off, either....Jones managed to land a whopping 3.2 standard deviations from the positional cornerback average.

(((Hugs))) it will be ok. (I mean this sincerely).
We should probably break it down for offense, defense and special teams. All I know is every single one of them is more athletic than me.
