These changes are good for baseball!!!!!!
• A 45-day window for MLB to implement rules changes -- among them a pitch clock, ban on shifts and larger bases in the 2023 season
• The National League adopting the designated hitter
• A draft lottery implemented with the intent of discouraging tanking
• Draft-pick inducements to discourage service-time manipulation
• Limiting the number of times a player can be optioned to the minor leagues in one season

No transactions can happen until the deal is ratified, so the floodgates might open tonight. Here's hoping first news is that Freddie re-ups with the Braves.

They basically put in on the back burner with a deadline of July 28th. if they don't reach a deal by then, they will continue as it has been.

Player salaries have dropped over the past four seasons despite growing revenues that topped out at an estimated $10.7 billion in 2019. The significant rise in franchise values -- which have almost quadrupled over the previous two basic agreements -- became a rallying cry for players.

Now comes a frenzied free-agent period that will see star shortstop Carlos Correa, first baseman Freddie Freeman, shortstop Trevor Story, pitcher Clayton Kershaw, third baseman Kris Bryant and others sign. The Oakland A's could trade first baseman Matt Olson, third baseman Matt Chapman and a number of starting pitchers

I definitely doubted (and have for the last 2 years) that it was gonna be resolved before at least a few months of games (and paychecks and revenues) were lost. Of course, we'll see how the next collective bargaining process plays out in a couple years!

Would imagine they move quick. The only thing I see preventing this now is if they lost their sponsorship...and seeing as their latest tweet is just a baseball emoji, I would guess it's still on. Just needed the season to have a start date...if I recall, the deal is usually for a week beginning with the Tuesday before opening day.

Yes. The sport/hobby/market doomsayers are in reclusion like the BIG lebowski after his dear Bunny was snatched. It seems to be a cottage industry now as it’s gone from MTP and the treces to a solid camp of a half dozen or so now.

Yeah, I'm sure they were just waiting for things to get settled. Would look weird if they announced it while the season was still potentially in jeopardy. Before they'd announce that it was coming like a month before.
It's the only T-Mobile Tuesday perk I really use. Amd the Paramount + one
