Autograph Opinion Manning and Montana

Hello All, I bought a collection that had these 2 cards in it. No Certification on either, thoughts?

I am no expert, and its tough to tell just from those two pictures but from the little I can make out they look legit to me. Possibly just TTM/TC IP autos?

If you could get pictures where the reflection on the sharpie shows a little better you may get some better analysis from others (based on flow and pace of the signatures)

Both are bad. Montana signs much loopier than this. And the Peyton is way off. Just focus on the M in each and compare to any licensed auto card on eBay. It’ll be obvious right away.

They both look BAD.

Peyton Manning: The top of the p is very rigid, it is usually round. The "T" flow is aggressive and goes up/down when it usually goes at an angle. The "M" in manning is too vertical.

Joe Montana: J and M both off

That "M" on the Manning looks weird to me. I haven't seen one that loopy or where the middle part of the M comes down so far. Maybe an in person is different but that middle part of the "M" usually looks flatter with less of a dip.

The "J" on the Montana looks off to me. The bottom loop in the J is too narrow and long, his J's tend to be sloppier looking with the upper and lower loops looking big and chunky. Often times the loop on the upper half the J is bigger than the bottom half.

Sigs can change over time and if the athlete was in a rush or was taking his time can affect the signature. I'm stuck on the "M" for Manning and "J" for Montana. I'm not saying they are or aren't authentic but I wouldn't buy them based on those letters and other examples I've seen. Would love some more experienced guys who collect Manning and Montana to weigh in and see what they've seen.

Thank you all for the quick feedback. Yeah the J on the Montana is way different than any I see on eBay. Oh well, would have been a nice bonus, these weren't part of the reason I bought the collection.

You know both are fake because the ink on both of them looks the same. I've seen a lot of Peyton and Montania autographs that both doesn't look right. Like some have said the M on Manning looks awkward and the J and M proximity. Peyton has always been a consistent signer, I mean he doesn't sign like Luka Doncic versions of woman's LULU (loopy), or a man's LULU (cursive, sloppy).

I don’t own a Montana so I can’t compare that one.

I can honestly say that is the worst attempt at forging Manning’s signature that I’ve seen.

Manning is forged, Montana has me questioning it if it were solo but if in same place as Manning, it's fake too.

Of course they are real, someone signed them.... Not Peyton or joe, but someone definitely signed them.

That Montana painting on the Pro Set card is awesome, btw. I would love to own the original.
