29-8 - 15 run 8th inning

I thought teams could call an inning over in Spring Training. Is that only for a certain number of games? I remember watching a Cubs game and David Ross was being interviewed by the Cubs announcers and he said the White Sox elected to roll over the inning... ending the current inning.

When you're down 18-4 after the Cardinals score 4 runs in the 8th.... rolling over the inning is no longer an option? They really need to make all 3 outs? :doh:
