Didn't see a thread. But Revolution drops tomorrow. Anyone excited? Or is everyone just waiting on Prizm at this point?

Stopped caring after they went away with in card autos. Galactics are nice but to me the selling point was the on card autos with amazing design.

I love Revolution, I bought one Warriors spot in a group break with a breaker I know / like, but refrained from buying out ALL the spots I could find like I might have two years ago.

No on-card autos for the rookies, veteran checklist is poopy, and seems like production even on a limited set like this is going up. 2020-21 is one of the cheapest Hobby boxes out there, and I can see this one going that way as well. I'll probably wait to buy a case until they hit around $200/box, and just buy singles until then.

I’d like to rip at least one box like I do every year, but sticker autos for a second straight year is a huge bummer. Honestly if they were going to use stickers, they should guarantee one auto per box. It was fun to chase the on-card autos because they were more rare than standard base autos from other products, but to only get sticker autos and still only get maybe 6-7 autos per master case? That sucks.

Revolution is one of my all-time favs and I'm as bad as anyone when it comes to blowing money on wax, but I have zero desire to rip at these prices. Any of the cards I'm after will be available in a month for less than half the price of a box, so it isn't even tempting.

Ya. They've started hitting ebay and they're pretty terrible - Giddey (https://ebay.us/JRYdmG). The sticker doesn't ever really have a defined space and goes over part of the Revolution logo. Pretty poor design.

Looks like they were designed to be on card but got switched to stickers.

Oooof, that looks awful. You can tell the card is still designed with an on-card auto in mind, but they went with stickers anyway. They have on-card autos in other sets (Elite Pen Pals, Contenders Rookie Tickets), so I don’t know why they didn’t just do the same with these.

Same as last year, no? The stickers extend past the white space and into the rest of the card. Ruins what would be awesome looking autos for me.

True, but no complaints here. If you're a buyer on any of the guys in this class, this is best-case-scenario. The better products are going to be released in the offseason during the pre-NFL season build-up, so the only people potentially affected would be breakers, and we're still a very very long way from a return to the time where breakers had to eat cost on "junk" products to keep their allocations up on the big products.

21-22 is way better design wise than 20-21 and places lowered their prices to around $280 (still much too high).

My personal opinion of Revolution this year:

Pros: Base + RC Design outstanding
Numbered really pop
Some inserts really stand out (Supernova especially)
Players in new unis mid-season

Cons: Sticker Autos
75th Anniversary is awful

I'm going to try a couple boxes, hopefully if they are a decent price.

I loved last years design. This year, i don't know. It doesn't look good from what i can tell, but the parallels look pretty good. I'm willing to give it a shot, but could be a blood bath.

I don't buy revolution for the auto's, so the sticker thing doesn't bother me that much. I do like it's like a hobby only release. (Lower print run) Looks like they've added a couple case hit inserts this year too. Not to mention, keeping galatic's and Lava.

Prime Time Performers are stunners. Those and the Star Factor are unparalleled case hits. Designs are strong this year. I’ll be single hunting.

Great looking cards, definitely a bummer about the sticker stuff but the remaining on cards are still sweet. I feel like the Revolution brand is strong and may be a sleeper in the future, but I’m also wrong a lot.

I watched a ton on release morning. The number of boxes i saw where the best card was a base rookie was crazy.

Seems like the auto sticker with that design is one that they should be placing at a slant, like they do unintentionally with many other issues.

WHY!?!!??!? What reason could there possibly be to change the numbering? I get they added the 75th so they made the sunburst /60, whatever, nobody likes sunburst, but why change the cosmics? Just because the fractal autos are /100? So you can't print different parallels from different subsets to the same number? Why?

This was an awesome product in 2017-18 when it was $60 a box. I just don't see how the content supports $300.

They're already in the low $200s shipped on Ebay. I've been watching PYT breaks sitting on breaker sites without movement in nearly a day. Once excitement dies down and breakers struggle to fill (it's already happening), price will come down to where last year's is, or even lower. I'd like to break an inner for under $2k but they probably won't get there, I could see them level out around $200 though.

Its strange for sure but an uproar seems unnecissary. My guess is someone started numbering the cards /99 thinking like a Prizm set, and they decided to keep it instead of throwing the cards out. The lack of 150 numbered cards I don't think hits some key milestone.

Yeah I don’t care too much about it but Panini just does annoying little things like that. They’ve had Orange and Purple numbered Prizms since 2015-16 and the print runs have changed so many times at this point. I’m used to it lol

I noticed some sales of Lava parallels that are numbered to 60 instead of 10. They're all numbered 42/60. Anyone know what's going on with these? My theory is that somehow some of the Lavas were stamped 42/60 instead of the Sunbursts. I did a quick check on eBay and I couldn't find a Sunburst 42/60.

That's really interesting, and such a strange oddball error to happen like that. Just another Panini mistake they won't care about but ultimately ends up being a hobby mystery.

The Draymond was misrepresented by the Ebay seller. It was a Sunburst parallel and labeled as such on the back of the card.
